From D&D Wiki
Other Dangers |
Poison is a damage type.
- Poison damage is inflicted by venomous fangs, toxic plants, noxious gas, and other toxins.
- Many sources of poison damage can leave a creature Poisoned. Posion in some cases causes Unconsciousness, and can even force a carry slot to be lost instantly.
- Resistance, immunity, or vulnerability to poison damage respectively grants resistance, immunity, or vulnerability to the Poisoned condition—and vice versa.
- While poison challenges the Grit of most living creatures, all objects and nonliving creatures are immune to poison damage.
- Although few creatures are vulnerable to poison damage, poisons are often debilitating to those affected by them.
