Round-Table Turns (PSR Supplement)
From D&D Wiki
Other Dangers |
This method omits any busywork associated with filing and remembering turn order. For veteran players it can lack nuance, or sometimes feel unfair. |
For casual play and chatty tables, round-table turns are recommended over other options.
After the first turn, turn order goes clockwise around the table, just as if playing a typical board game. In an online chatroom, it can be by username order instead.
When it becomes the narrator's turn, the narrator takes all the NPCs' turns at once. If there are four players or more, the narrator might take only half the monster's turns, then take the other half of the turns halfway through the players' turns.
