Common Hazards

Items are objects that can be carried or wielded by characters, and have a distinct use. Items include everything from weapons and armor, to gemstones and silver.
Carry Limit. You can carry a number of items no greater than your Strength score, as detailed under carry slots.
Item Type. Items can be one type from goods, attire, weapons, tools, and gear. Each type works a bit differently as noted in its respective section.
Expendable. Any item swiftly used up with a single action or bonus action is called "expendable." This includes everything from a drinkable potion, to a throwable bomb, a piece of ammo that's used up with one attack, or even a piece of bread you scarf down. When using content designed for 5e, any magic item labelled "minor" is expendable.
Rarity. All items have a rarity level. Items of greater rarity are not only harder to find but often more expensive and often more powerful. You can easily buy or sell common items, but items of greater rarity are more difficult to trade. See Downtime Trade.
