Thunder is a damage type.

  • Thunder damage is caused by concussive blasts, extremely loud noises, and destructive vibrations. In this world, bombs and explosions deal thunder damage.
  • Whenever thunder damage is dealt, it almost always creates immense noise that can be heard from a great distance.
  • The explosive force of this damage type can be particularly destructive to structures. Many sources of thunder damage specify they deal max damage to objects.
  • Sources of thunder damage can sometimes a creature unable to hear, or blast away creatures and objects.
  • Creatures made of resonant material like crystals might be vulnerable to thunder damage, as are those who rely on senses like biosonar or tremorsense.
  • Gaseous creatures made of air and smoke often resist thunder damage, as do some who can't hear in the first place. Creatures made of noise-absorbent materials are also potentially resistant.
