Source HistoryVaati comes from a fairly unknown race called the Minish. A small race of people, shorter than Cherries, however, one-day Vaati stole a magical cap known as the Mage's cap from his master Ezlo, this cap granted the wishes of whoever may down it and transformed him into a powerful sorcerer, he then cursed his old Master; Ezlo, and turned him into a living cap. He then crossed through the Minish Door to the land of Hyrule and terrorized the people there, kidnapping many maidens and taking them to his newly created palace in the sky. Much like Ganondorf, Vaati has been sealed away in many blades, such as the four-sword. However, he has in one way or another managed to break out every time. Vaati's current location is unknown. Whether he resides in another hiding place, sealed away or is roaming around the world of Hyrule or another, managing to stay hidden and undetected, biding his time for when he can take back his power. CombatVaati is very quick and agile but he can be defeated very easily if he is overwhelmed, he will usually hang back behind another creature that can take hits while he deals out damage. However, if he does drop to 0 Hitpoints he will transform into his Demon form. Vaati also prefers to stay up in the air while fighting, allowing him to stay away from most close-combat foes he may face. He will often target the weakest opponents first, ridding them and then going after the tougher enemies. When Vaati transforms into Demon Vaati he does not regain legendary resistances, and his stat block changes to that of his Demon form. He is cured of all diseases and conditions affecting him when he transforms, however. |
Variant: Without Transformation
The Challenge Rating above assumes Vaati will transform into Demon Vaati when he reaches 0 hit points. If he doesn't, his Challenge Rating is 16 (20,000 XP).
