5e Shapeshifter Classes

Classes of the shapeshifter archetype are arcane or other (non-racial) shape shifters. Classes that focus on shapeshifting based on fantasy race have the [[Category:Racial Class]] and the [[Category:Shapechanger]] category instead.

Shapeshifter Variant Classes[edit]

Classes which are variants of the shapeshifter archetype.
Name Summary Spellcasting
Amalgam Amalgams aren't spellcasters in the traditional sense. They don't learn many spells, if any at all. But rather they focus on a very particular magic, one that had long been forgotten by the wizards of Faerun. The strange practice of magically fusing parts of other creatures to themselves.
Ben 10 A warrior attached to a powerful device known as the Omnitrix.
Blacklight Mutation You were infected by a virulent virus, mutating your genetic code and allowing you to freely manipulate your own biomass for your own use.
Metamorph Shapeshifter
Nomu An unnatural fusion of quirks.
Shapechanger A powerful entity, constantly shifting, never the same man who walked down the street two weeks ago.
Shapeshifter, Variant A being that has a strange ability to become almost any other creature.
Shapeshifter A creature that can change into a variety of different creatures.

Classes which are mashups partly inspired by the shapeshifter archetype.

Corrupted Soul A soul whose rot spreads to the body
Draconic Knight, Variant A Warrior with the blood of a Dragon. third
User:Gamerkasper A Humanoid monster with powerful Natural weapons that have plenty of power, and utility. Very helpful especially when you need to sate a diet that consists of human flesh. People capable of controlling darkness and summoning the shadows of the dead. half
Ghoul, Variant A Humanoid monster with powerful Natural weapons that have plenty of power, and utility. Very helpful especially when you need to sate a diet that consists of human flesh.

Tager A person who has inextricably bonded themself with a being from the Far Realm, gaining a shifted form in the process.

Alchemic Shifter Go from being a smart scientist to a powerful beast
Alterant
Ascendant Ascendants are cursed or blessed with the ability to transform their body to gain the powers of monsters. Some of them sought this power themselves, and obtained it through occult rituals or pacts with powerful beings, others were subjected to such rituals by others or received the power as a blessing or curse from a powerful being. No matter how they obtained the power, most ascendants are outcasts from society due to their monstrous abilities, and many of them ultimately gain the ability to transform completely.

Battle Mage As a battle mage, you gain the following class features. full
Blacklight Mutator, Variant Once a normal creature, now a being who's only purpose is to consume and gain more power. You are a twisted image of what you once were before the Virus, but somewhere in there, I'ts still you.
Child of the Darkness you gain the following features.
Dark Weapon Men and women with the ability to transform into weapons, or morph a single part of their body into a weapon.

Dragonkin Those who's ancestry can be traced back to the dragons, similar to sorcerers, but unlike sorcerers who use their ancestry for magic the Dragonkin use it for strength. Warriors who's skin is as hard as armor and who's teeth are as sharp as daggers. Those are not mere mooks but true dragonkin who make their ancestors proud!
