Mutant (4e)

I fixed the problems except the "Proficient in 1 grade of armour or weapon higher" because I see no problem and also I am Australian so KG is what I type in. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by Deadpoolio (talkcontribs) . Please sign your posts.

D&D uses imperial units, so when designing content for the game you too should use imperial units. I know that sucks, but it's a consequence of adding on to existing material instead of making your own game. If it helps one kilogram is roughly 2.2 pounds. — Geodude671 (talk | contribs | email)‎ . . 21:51, 29 August 2017 (MDT)
D&D doesn't use the word "grade" to refer to weapons and armor, so please explain to me what that phrase means. Does it mean that, for example, if you are proficient in military weapons, you're now proficient in all superior weapons? 'Cos that's not right. Marasmusine (talk) 02:30, 30 August 2017 (MDT)

How to deal with plagiarism

I was looking through the wiki wishing to change my class and delete my old ones, but oddly enough I found another class called the Chronolord (https://www.dandwiki.com/wiki/Chronolord_(5e_Class)). So this intrigued me and I had a look, excited to see another time based class, however, upon reading it there are things in the class that are literally line for line what I have written in previous versions. This website doesn't have reporting features so I don't know what to do.

There are some abilities that are original which I have no problems with, but the features that are word for word mine have me a little riled up. I'm sorry to message you about it but I don't know what to do and you seem to know this wiki pretty damn well.

--Agaming (talk) 16:53, 31 August 2017 (MDT)

A simple link to your class (preferably on the talk page) should clear up any plagiarism issues :) --GamerAim Chatmod.png (talk) 20:00, 31 August 2017 (MDT)
To be clear, Agaming, when you submit work on this site, you release it under a copyleft license that allows other to copy it. However they must attribute the authors of the source page (and provide a link). Unfortunately in practice this rarely happens. You can add it yourself if you like, explain on the talk page and add a wikilink to the original. Marasmusine (talk) 01:12, 1 September 2017 (MDT)

True unmade

Ok, so I'm planning on recreating the unmade as a racial class. But I'm uncertain how to do this. ShiroYami (talk) 03:21, 1 September 2017 (MDT)

If the class is mandatory ,it's probably easiest if you look at another race/class (e.g. Angel (5e Race)). If the class is optional, there's a "create new special class" link at 5e Special Classes. Marasmusine (talk) 05:28, 1 September 2017 (MDT)

Mutant (4e)

I believe my race has been fixed and balanced. I have a group of hardcore dnd players helping me to balance my ideas and they believe it is balanced, fun and fits all criteria.

It still does not work in many places. Constantly regenerating 2 hit points per round is not balanced. "Learn 25% faster" says "for campaigns that make it so you have to earn your skills..." but it doesn't explain how this works. The skill bonuses should be racial skill bonuses. Shapeshifter isn't fully explained. Many of these traits should be an encounter power. Overall balance is dubious and description is lacking.
If this is the state you want the race to be in for your own games, I suggest you make a copy, because it won't survive on this wiki in its current form. Marasmusine (talk) 01:36, 2 September 2017 (MDT)

Return the Armed with Wings

I see that you are the one who has done the misdemeanor of removing the Armed with Wings class from this fine wikipedia. While I can understand not wanting to spend the time or energy to improve it, as it is after all already at peak perfection, to do the grievous error of outright removing it all together? What are sadistic DM's supposed to use to spice up and torture idiotic players with now? Tarrasque isn't a class you fool, we need the return to form. The only remedy to this is to return that which has been lost. Choose to not obey this, and an influx of mimicries will follow suit. you have been warned, non-believer.

Just use the DuelSoulBlade Shadow Vampelf (5e Race). — Geodude671 (talk | contribs | email)‎ . . 00:00, 4 September 2017 (MDT)
Why do people always speak up right after a page is deleted and never during the two-week discussion period leading up to it?
I have temporarily restored Armed With Wings (5e Class). Please download a copy for your personal use, it will be deleted again in a few days. Marasmusine (talk) 01:25, 4 September 2017 (MDT)
This is not wikipedia, and you will be blocked if you continue threatening people in this manner. Please do not repeat this behavior. You have been warned :) --GamerAim Chatmod.png (talk) 05:35, 4 September 2017 (MDT)

"Please sign your comments"

How do you guys do that "preceding post was made by" thing? I've never run across a template for It, and am finding more and more situations where I'd like to credit people's unsigned comments. --Kydo (talk) 05:12, 6 September 2017 (MDT)

Are you referring to {{unsigned|USERNAME/IP}}? (there's technically an unsigned IP template too, but I never bother with it)--GamerAim Chatmod.png (talk) 06:57, 6 September 2017 (MDT)
Template:Unsigned. Correct usage would be, for example, {{Unsigned|Guy}}. - Guy (talk) 07:05, 6 September 2017 (MDT)
Thanks guys! --Kydo (talk) 11:00, 7 September 2017 (MDT)

The Berserker class (Again!)

Hey, you've been looking and reviewing this class since the beginning so naturally since I've been working on it so it doesn't get deleted I'd like you to look through it and give me your thoughts and suggestions. Thanks, ConcealedLight (talk) 01:19, 7 September 2017 (MDT) Actually, give me like a day...

Acknowledged and I'll review again soon. Marasmusine (talk) 04:22, 9 September 2017 (MDT)
Hey, you free sometime soon to put the class through the ringer?

King of Games class

I have made drastic improvements to the class based on your suggestions. I think the mechanics are much smoother but the organization could be better and I still need to add flavor text. If you have the time I would like your expert opinion on the modifications I have made or any clarification issues there still might be.

Acknowledged and I'll review again soon. Marasmusine (talk) 04:22, 9 September 2017 (MDT)

Speedster

I am the one who has been working on fixing the mistakes in the speedster class and I was wondering if you could help me out so it can be used and so it can be balanced. --[[user:Leo speedstien ] (User talk:Leo speedstien )

Deleted page - return old text?

Hello,

I went to one of my old pages to see about doing revisions to update it to Pathfinder RPG. Inath (3.5e Variant Rule) was 'abandoned' for over a year, but the concepts were still useful. Can it be returned to its prior state? What do I have to do to keep it up for longer without editing it occasionally?

I've restored the page for you. I can't say I understand how it's useable, and there's an awful lot of red links. If there are "empty" sections you do not intend to work on immediately, perhaps remove them (and make a "to do" list on the talk page instead.) Marasmusine (talk) 02:17, 9 September 2017 (MDT)

Pls help

Hey i know you just deleted it but im in the middle of the campaign and i was using that "Ninja: Naruto (5e Class)" now i have nothing to use. So could you help me out here. I don't want to make a new character.

Bryan

Try the Naruto Ninja Class V2 (5e Class) or the Four Elements Monk from the PHB. — Geodude671 (talk | contribs | email)‎ . . 19:17, 13 September 2017 (MDT)
Or Naruto: Ninja v3 (5e Class). They're all equally bad. Marasmusine (talk) 01:37, 14 September 2017 (MDT)

Opinion on an argument

Hi Marasmusine, I was discussing with JohnSmith82 about the Goblin, Variant (4e Race) and Human, (4e Racial Trait Variants), We seem to disagree strongly on a few points and I was hoping to get an outside opinion to help resolve this impasse. More opinions are welcome and thank you again for you're time. --Aitharious (talk) 10:49, 18 September 2017 (MDT)

Another thing I forgot to mention was the True sight feature that has been given to the Dark Elf (4e Race) It is worded kind of oddly but I'd like some opinions on that trait. --Aitharious (talk) 08:19, 20 September 2017 (MDT)

2e siege engine

My group has been using 2e as several 1 shot siege adventures. Do you know anyone who knows anything about magical 2e siege engines? A fellow player wants one that uses Bigby's clenched fist as it's main weapon. --Redrum 18:41, 20 September 2017 (MDT)

When I used to play 2nd edition, I only had the core rulebooks. Everything else I made up. If you have a siege engine that uses Bigby's clenched fist, that's about all you need to know, right? Just decide how many times it can fire, and its AC and hit points. Marasmusine (talk) 01:40, 21 September 2017 (MDT)
I'm not head 2e DM guy, but I will tell him what you said. --Redrum 18:20, 27 September 2017 (MDT)

Soul Reaper (5e Class)

Hey, would you mind sending me the Soul Reaper class that was deleted on June 19. Ive been using it for a character and i didnt save it myself. My email is REDACTED. Thank you.

Hi, I have emailed the class to you, look for an email from duncan_timiney Marasmusine (talk) 02:37, 23 September 2017 (MDT)

Your Scale

Sorry if this has been mentioned before, but I wasn't motivated enough to read all your archives, but you may be overvaluing Infernal Legacy. It's a harmless cantrip and 2 1/long rest spells. They're both level 2 spells (well one is a level 1 cast as a second level spell). I've gotten much more use out of their resistance to fire (arguably the most common damage type besides weapon damages). One is a 2d10 reaction damage, and the other is darkness. While they are good spells, if your DM doesn't allow frequent long rests then their usefulness is extremely limited. That said, DMs that allow frequent long rests would have groups that get much more use out of it than I've seen - IP that doesn't have a user on this site (Aeturo on others, such as dnd-wiki, if you want to contact me quicker) 21:18, 22 September 2017 (MDT)

Thank-you for the information, I appreciate it. I'll take another look.
If you're right, a spell progression trait could simply be worth 0.5 ½ per spell (if you gain it at the appropriate level and it's 1/long rest or a cantrip); which means fire resistance is worth 10.5 ½. Marasmusine (talk) 02:41, 23 September 2017 (MDT)

Firmly disagree with desicion to remove the Wumbomancer 5e class

I put a lot of hard work into that class and it shouldn't be deleted on a whim because it hasn't been finished or balanced. It's existence is not in any way detrimental to the integrity of the site. Please restore said class.

Kind regards,

Some guy that worked really hard on something

Hello, I have restored Wumbomancer (5e Class) as requested. Marasmusine (talk) 01:50, 24 September 2017 (MDT)

golem monger questions and ideas

hey mara i needed some help on my golem monger class (the one with the steam powered power armor)

one of the things i was sitting on was putting a max amount of upgrades you could have on the armor to prevent overbalancing, like six or eight (4 weapons, two for the shoulder and two for the arms) i wanted your thoughts on this....

and i have one other things at this moment i want your opinion, i gave the golem monger a level 2 feature called fitness regiment that gives a plus 4 to sth and con permanently to the p.c. and unlike the stranded ability score improvement this could be used to go past 20 but no more than 25.

reasons why i did this is because the armor is heavy over a thousand pounds heavy and sure a Goliath might be able to lug it around with ease but not every buddy else. So it made sense that the golem monger would train extremely hard to be able to were the armor and lug it around, and the other reason i did this because the golem monger out side of his or her golem armor has no armor proficiencies. also only gets a d6 hp dice per level, it made sense to give a little more ummff to the golem monger.

Spelljammer vs. Star Trek

What would happen if a Borg Cube(ship), gets dropped into the Spelljammer setting? I don't expect an answer. The main reason why I ask is if I didn't get the question out of my head it would explode. --Redrum 18:26, 27 September 2017 (MDT)

The Mountain class

I created a character for a Campaign using the Mountain class setup, but I did not copy any of the needed information about it and now I am in need of creating a new one and cannot due to you deleting everything about it. If you could get me the information pertaining to it, that would be appreciated. --Lancer_Vance; 8:31 pm October 1st, 2017.

I've temporarily restored Mountain (5e Class). Please be aware that this class is broken beyond belief. Marasmusine (talk) 01:58, 4 October 2017 (MDT)

Page protection

Hi, I saw in the help pages that admins will lock pages from editing if the author asks for it, so can you please protect my race here? Someone vandalized it and the page is finished so it doesn't need any more edits. --Trouble (talk) 01:10, 6 October 2017 (MDT)

I am glad someone saw that :) I have locked it. Please let us know if you need an edit made to it. It is a very nice race.--GamerAim Chatmod.png (talk) 06:11, 6 October 2017 (MDT)

Drider (5e Feat)

Can I ask for your assistance at the page Drider (5e Feat)? It apparently makes use of a "corruption" variant rule which is not on the wiki, and even taking that into account the feat itself is nonsensical, but another user is adamant that it is complete and usable. — Geodude671 (talk | contribs | email)‎ . . 19:15, 7 October 2017 (MDT)

Death knight

Could you possibly send me the dnd death knight class you made I really enjoy it and am using it in a campaign I’m in I’d really like if you could send it too me REDACTED

I stand corrected. I guess that page was of good use to someone during its lifetime. Though I must ask why you spoke up now instead of during the rough month (iirc) since that page was nominated for deletion.
Anyways, I recommend using the Oathbreaker from the DMG, or my dark knight which is itself a variant of the paladin. — Geodude671 (talk | contribs | email)‎ . . 22:03, 16 October 2017 (MDT)
Hi Colin, I have emailed you the class. Marasmusine (talk) 01:53, 17 October 2017 (MDT)

Hi, I just made a page for homebrew diseases for 5e and was wondering if it could be added to the main 5e Homebrew Page: 5e Diseases —The preceding unsigned comment was added by Varkarrus (talkcontribs) . Please sign your posts.

Thank-you! I've added under traps and hazards. Marasmusine (talk) 09:34, 17 October 2017 (MDT)

deleted death knight page.

i was planning on making a character using the death knight page you just deleted the other day. i was hoping if possible you could send me a copy of it so i could maybe use it in the future.

I recommend using the oathbreaker from the DMG, or my Dark Knight (5e Class) which is itself a variant of the paladin class. — Geodude671 (talk | contribs | email)‎ . . 08:36, 18 October 2017 (MDT)
sorry not really interested in something that is a variant of paladin, want something more unique. everyone seems caught up with death knights in DnD being dead paladins but that seems too restricting.
People are probably caught up on that because that's what the monster called a death knight is in the game. Anyway, the oathbreaker paladin gets Control Undead and Animate Dead, and their 7th-level feature also gives bonuses to undead near them. It feels a lot like a death knight to me. — Geodude671 (talk | contribs | email)‎ . . 10:37, 18 October 2017 (MDT)

overlord content

first of all great idea with the overlord i know you dint want to change it but it was complete awesomeness at lv 20 i was able to go toe to tow with 2 adult blue dragons my dm was mad and happy because this meant he can give me harder foes with out making me rage quit i also enslaved the nine hells and shadow fell i am all powerful but know i want to have my hero die and leave a legacy for his son Drakin a blue/gold dragonborn he is an overlord like his dad but since you made changes to the overlord i cant really do that so i was wondering if you can make a different overlord with just less fear and more power that can be feared like being able to blow someone back with aura alone or have the gauntlet make him into a totally different person like a balance breaker so yeah thats all

Hello, I'm currently not able to make any classes as I'm focusing on another project. Marasmusine (talk) 11:37, 19 October 2017 (MDT)

then can i make a new overlord class with out you possibly sayng "he stole my idea"

i am so sry but i was talking to the wrong person plz i thought i was on a diffrnt users page

Runic Spear

Is it possible to use a magic weapon as an arcane focus? --209.97.85.48 12:59, 21 October 2017 (MDT)

I really need more context for these questions. Do you mean using the core rulebooks, or for homebrew? Marasmusine (talk) 15:59, 21 October 2017 (MDT)
I was aiming for homebrew. --209.97.85.48 18:35, 25 October 2017 (MDT)
Anything is possible in homebrew. Just decide if you want it to be a class feature or a feat or whatever. Marasmusine (talk) 02:36, 26 October 2017 (MDT)

5e Swordbow

Is it possible for a magic weapon to shift between 2 Forms? --209.97.85.48 13:14, 21 October 2017 (MDT)

Again, if it's homebrew, you can do what you like. The two forms would have to be useful for the character. I've recently deleted a bunch of "trick" weapons because they transformed between two forms that would be used by two completely different character builds (e.g. a two-handed weapon transforming into two light weapons), or because there's no point in transforming it (because one form is the same as another but has reach). Marasmusine (talk) 02:39, 26 October 2017 (MDT)
If you are still looking for a trick weapon that can change forms, I did manage to fix one of them up, see the clockwork blade bow.--Blobby383b (talk) 12:48, 26 October 2017 (MDT)

Adding spells from Elemental Evil

EE spells are not considered SRD according to User:Geodude671, so they wouldn't go under SRD, and they're not homebrew either. Is there a place they'd ever be added to? Cause I'd like to have the entire spellbook on this wiki if possible, so I don't juggle between multiple sites. --Alearori (talk) 21:54, 26 October 2017 (MDT)
