The eldest sibling of the dreaded Janin, a trio of brothers turned rogue nin including himself, Jiba, and Ruiga, Renga mastered a single Ice Style technique to terrifying proficiency. When the three singlehandedly invaded the Land of Vegetables and murdered the daimyo and his court, including those that had backed their invasion, leaving the daimyo's daughter Haruna as the sole legitimate claimant of the throne. When she hired a team of genin from the Hidden Leaf Village under the guise of a simple merchant escort to reduce the cost to something her few possessions could afford, the Janin believed their overconfidence in the genins' abilities would be their downfall, concentrating what few dissidents they still needed to deal with. After the deaths of his brothers, he made his own attack on the group. While he was able to keep Naruto on the backfoot, Naruto was able to turn his ultimate technique back on Renga using his forehead protector, eventually killing him. |
