---|---|
Range: | 10 feet |
Components: | V, S, M (a tiny piece of matter of the type of creature the homunculus is to be, such as a bit of clay for a clay golem or a drop of blood for a flesh golem, worth at least 25 gp) |
Duration: | Instantaneous |
You use your magic to craft a tiny, animate construct in the form of a creature of your choice. The creature can be no larger than Tiny and must have a CR of 1/8 or lower. The construct is magically bound to you and serves as a loyal companion and helper. It can communicate with you telepathically and understands any languages you know. The homunculus carries out simple tasks that you command it to do. In combat, it rolls its own initiative and acts on its own.
The homunculus has hit points equal to a quarter of your hit point maximum, and it dies if its hit points drop to 0. It has the statistics of the chosen form, but it is a construct instead of its normal type. Your homunculus uses your proficiency bonus rather than its own. In addition, it gains proficiency in one skill of your choice.
It can also serve as a scout, it can move up to 15 ft. away from you and send you visual information of the area, it has darkvision and can detect noises and movement from 60 ft. away.
You can have only one homunculus at a time. If you cast this spell while your homunculus is still alive, the previous homunculus dies.
