Races[edit]

Across the Dragon Ball Universe are numerous races, each with their strengths and weaknesses.

Design Note: The following races listed below are all being updated to be more lore-accurate in terms of abilities, while also raising their power levels to all be of similar playing fields in some way. So far the Cerealian, Majin, Demon Realm Race, Frost Demon, Namekian, Human, and Saiyan Race have received this treatment.

The Alien[1] Race is currently receiving this treatment, but will understandably be taking longer.

This Design Note will be updated as the other races receive this treatment, and then entirely deleted when every race has.

  • Alien - Sadly, not every race in Dragon Ball can be so unique, with hundreds of populated planets in each universe, not including Kais, demons, and monster-men of all kinds, but that does not mean your favorite blue speedster or purple time-skipper will go unrepresented!
    • Rubber Forehead Alien - Until the setting-specifc alien race is finished, please instead use this more general race.
  • Bio-Android - Bio-mechanical creations first created on Planet Earth, Bio-Androids are created as an amalgamation of multiple other races.
  • Cerealian - Plentiful in numbers from Planet Cereal, this once extraordinary race had evolved into a race with eyes that granted them heightened abilities. In Age 733, this race had been drastically reduced in number thanks to the Saiyan Army, but a few lucky Cerealians survived.
  • Demon Realm Race - Concentrations of dark power pulled from the realm of Demons.
  • Frost Demon - With their home planet kept secret within the Frieza Force, and thus beyond, frost demons can produce bio-suits to limit their power, which is stimulated at birth to limit their typically large power level—one particular line of frost demons originating from the ancient frost demon Chilled before 1104 BA.
  • Human - Native to Earth, humans are among the top in terms of learning potential. They are used as a sort of "genetic template" for the Kais, allowing them to create fertile offspring with effectively any other non-godly race.
  • Majin - Gum-like manifestations of magical force, Majins were at one point incredibly rare but had a population boom in age 790.
  • Namekian - The slug-like natives of Planet Namek, Namekians reproduce via asexual egg production. Save for the occasional evil mutant, they are a largely peaceful, agrarian society that farms for the land's sake, rather than for the need for physical nutrition.
  • Neo Machine Mutant - Originating as robots from Planet Plant, Machine Mutants are a sapient artificial race. They vary widely in creation and in usage, only truly sharing a name. They are quite rare, appearing in very few numbers in universes 6 and 7.
  • Saiyan - Hailing from Planet Sadala and later conquering Planet Plant, renamed Planet Vegeta, Saiyans are a true warrior race, striving not for the meaningless destruction that they bring, but for true, unchallenged strength.
