A soldier kunoichi, Kin believes only in her mission and her abilities, both given to her by Orochimaru. She, Zaku, and Dosu, two other shinobi loyal to Orochimaru's Hidden Sound Village worked together to infiltrate the Hidden Leaf Village during their Chunin Exams to prepare for a full on assault. During the second round, they were ordered by their master to assassinate Sasuke Uchiha. While the three were able to hold their own against a team consisting of Rock Lee, Tenten, Neji, Ino, Shikamaru, Choji, and Sakura, though many did not go all-out. However, when Sasuke awoke along with his Cursed Mark, the rest of Team Dosu surrendered, though Kin did not recognize the power and fought on, being quickly defeated. Entering the third round, a tournament, she was challenged by Shikamaru, and while she initially had a tactical advantage, she quickly became overconfident, allowing him to take advantage of the situation and ring her out. No longer fit to be a shinobi, Orochimaru sacrificed her to resurrect the First Hokage for his fight against Hiruzen. |
