Talk:Boon of the Epic Barbarian (5e Epic Boon)

I definitely still think that there should not be epic boons for only one class. --Gdd4270 (talk) 09:38, 12 December 2021 (MST)

Why? --SwankyPants (talk) 09:39, 12 December 2021 (MST)
Ok, maybe, but only if there is one for EVERY class, and even then... Maybe put them under a special category? --Gdd4270 (talk) 09:40, 12 December 2021 (MST)
Good thing there's just about one for every class on the wiki. Why a special category? They cause no problems besides being slightly different from what WoTC intended, and we hardly ever care about them anyways. No problems are caused by this. --SwankyPants (talk) 09:42, 12 December 2021 (MST)
Okay, maybe. Still, we should at least have one exist for at least all the official classes. Maybe some of the homebrew classes too? --Gdd4270 (talk) 09:43, 12 December 2021 (MST)
And still, it's a good thing we have one for just about every official class. Whether or not people make stuff for their own classes is up to them, but that's always something you can do. --SwankyPants (talk) 09:47, 12 December 2021 (MST)
Yep. When I finish my greater arcane adept class, I could make a boon for that one. Probably not like the Boon of the Wizard, something totally different, otherwise it would be way too powerful. --Gdd4270 (talk) 09:49, 12 December 2021 (MST)
Feels redundant to a point with "Boon of the [insert official class]" in my opinion. It'd be better to lump them all into one page of "Official class boons", similar to how the Warlock Invocations (5e Class Feature) are consolidated.--Yanied (talk) 13:15, 12 December 2021 (MST)
Good idea. --Gdd4270 (talk) 14:33, 12 December 2021 (MST)

Highly simple to begin with[edit]

I haven't looked at the other class boons yet, but this one at least seems very simple and kind of a bland concept, you know, just having two Arcane Traditions. A little too simple. --Gdd4270 (talk) 14:36, 12 December 2021 (MST)

One of the official boons gives you proficiency with all skills. Another increases you maximum hit points by 40. A third gives you another 9th-level spell slot. Epic Boons don't need to be complex or flavorful: their focus is on power. I see absolutely no problem with the simplicity of gaining a second tradition, considering "more hit points" is an option. --IntellectMaster (talk) 19:05, 13 December 2021 (MST)
I'm talking about the boons for only one class. --Gdd4270 (talk) 04:09, 14 December 2021 (MST)

Split the Page[edit]

I have split up the page to have each boon on its own page, as having multiple of the same template on one page was causing issues with the epic boons DPL. The other boons can now be found at Boon of the Epic Bard (5e Epic Boon) and Boon of the Epic Wizard (5e Epic Boon). — Geodude Chatmod.png (talk | contribs | email)‎‎ . . 15:22, 16 March 2023 (MDT)
