Hokuto (Shinobi World Supplement)
From D&D Wiki
Hokuto[edit]
Medium humanoid (Human), lawful good Armor Class 16 (Natural Armor)
Saving Throws Con +7, Int +6 Chakra. Hokuto has 25 chakra points which she can expend. All chakra points are regained at the end of a long rest. Ninja Speed. Hokuto can take the dash, dodge, and disengage actions as a bonus action, and can move along vertical surfaces. Evasion. When Hokuto is targeted by an effect that allows her to make a Dexterity saving throw to take half damage on a success, she takes no damage on a success and half damage on a failure. Purple Chakra. Some of Hokuto's features grant her "purple chakra". These special chakra points are counted separately from her normal chakra. Hokuto can use these chakra on one jutsu or spread them across multiple, and can spend these points and her own normal chakra points on the same jutsu. This chakra can extend above her chakra point maximum, and is lost at the end of a long rest. Mysterious Peacock Method. While Hokuto has at least 7 purple chakra, she gains the following:
Chakra Sense. When Hokuto takes the search action, she may also attempt a DC 13 Arcana check to locate living creatures and magical effects within 90 feet. She see a faint outline around the detected chakra source and what school of magic or chakra nature the magical effect was created from, or one that the creature can use if any, can be discerned by her. This effect can penetrate most barriers, but is blocked by 1 foot of stone, 1 inch of common metal, a thin sheet of lead, or 3 feet of wood or dirt. ACTIONSMultiattack. Hokuto makes 3 attacks with her unarmed strike or kunai attacks. Unarmed Strike. Melee Weapon Attack: +6 to hit, reach 5 ft., one target. Hit: 10 (3d4 + 2) magical bludgeoning damage. Kunai (0-3 Chakra). Ranged Weapon Attack: +6 to hit, range 20/60 ft., one target. Hit: 4 (1d4 + 2) slashing damage. Hokuto may make 1 additional attack for every additional chakra point spent. Each additional kunai deals 3 (1d4 + 1) slashing damage. Star Training. Hokuto reduces her maximum hit points by any number, and gains twice as many purple chakra points gained. Basic Ninjutsu Technique (1 Chakra). As a bonus action, Hokuto can move across liquid surfaces as if they were solid. If she is submerged, she rises to the surface of the liquid at a rate of 60 feet per round. Transformation (1+ Chakra). Hokuto becomes identical to a person, creature or non-magical object she has a complete visual image of. This can not be a light source, armor, tool, or vehicle, and she can not recreate a magical effect. Creatures must make a DC 14 Investigation check realize that she is transformed. If the creature saw her performing the Jutsu, they automatically succeed. This does not change statistics. Body Flicker (3 Chakra). Hokuto's movement speed doubles, and her movement does not provoke attacks of opportunity. Chakra Transfer Technique (1+ Chakra). One creature that Hokuto touches gains a number of chakra points equal to this jutsu's cost. This chakra can extend above the target's maximum, and Hokuto may grant them the ability to cast 1 jutsu that she knows until they lose any chakra she granted them, but they must spend at least 1 chakra she granted them on this jutsu. A creature may only learn 1 jutsu in this way from any single creature. The target loses 1 chakra point gained above their maximum in this way at the end of each of their turns, and all chakra gained in this way at the end of a short or long rest. REACTIONSSubstitution (3+ Chakra). When Hokuto is hit by an attack and would take damage, she decreases the damage by 16 (1d10 + 11) and teleports up to 15 ft. in any direction to an unoccupied space, during which she takes the Hide action. A generic object is left in her place and she takes any remaining damage from that attack. Hokuto can reduce this damage by an additional 6 (1d10) points per chakra point spent over the initial cost. |
Hokuto, a skilled shinobi from the Hidden Stars Village, was one of the few people within her village to gain great power from Star training without any noticeable damage. Regularly caring for Mizura, whose body was quickly degrading from the Star's radiation, she joined the small movement to re-ban Star training as the recently deceased Third Hoshikage had done. When it appeared that Akahoshi, the self-proclaimed Fourth Hoshikage, had killed the team of Leaf genin sent to protect the Star, as well as Sumaru who had gone out in search of them, Hokuto and the other children undergoing Star training rose up against their tyrannical leader, revealing its side effects to gain their allegiance, but were quickly subdued by his power. By the time they awoke, Akahoshi had been defeated, and they were all being treated in the Hidden Leaf Village for the harm the Star had caused. |
