Path of the Star (Shinobi World Supplement)
From D&D Wiki
Path of the Star[edit]
At one point in your life, you were exposed to the radiation emanating from a meteor, known as a "star" to those who recognize their power. This radiation mutated your tenketsu, allowing you to recreate its dangerous energy within your chakra.
Star Training[edit]
At 3rd level, as an action, you may channel your star training, reducing your maximum hit points by twice as many "purple" chakra points gained. These special purple chakra are counted separately from your normal chakra. You can use all these chakra on one Jutsu or spread them across multiple, and can spend these points and your own normal chakra points on the same jutsu. This chakra can extend above your chakra point maximum, and is lost at the end of a long rest. Your hit point maximum returns to normal at the end of a long rest.
Feather Manifestation[edit]
At 7th level, as a bonus action while you have at least 7 purple chakra, you may sprout purple chakra feathers from your tailbone, granting you the following:
- The chakra cost of all jutsu you cast are reduced by 1 (to a minimum of 1).
- Your movement speeds are increased by 10 feet.
- You may cause your unarmed strikes and any jutsu you cast of your choice to deal poison damage at will.
- You gain a +1 bonus to any attack and damage rolls, your jutsu DC, and your AC.
- You lose 1 purple chakra at the end of each of your turns.
Mysterious Destruction[edit]
At 10th level, while in Feather Manifestation, your feathers coil into a rope-like form. You gain an additional 10 ft. of reach, and creatures begin suffocating when grappled by you.
Diverse Feather Transformation[edit]
At 15th level, as an action for 5 purple chakra points while Feather Manifestation is active, you gain one of the following until it ends or you use this feature a second time:
- Mysterious Beast Method: Your wings expand into a large animal. Your size category increases by 1 to a minimum of Large, creatures of your choice may occupy your space and move with you, and any creatures within your space including you gain a damage reduction of 5. If creatures within your space have a damage reduction, you may add this bonus to their reduction.
- Mysterious Dragonfly Method: Your wings focus into four wings covering your arms and legs. You gain a flying speed equal to your movement speed and may take the dash action as a free action.
- Mysterious Snake Method: Your already rope-like wings become long whips sprouting from the palms of your hands. Your reach increases by an additional 10 ft., and your unarmed strikes and jutsu with a range of touch gain a +2 bonus to their attack roll and DC.
Shining Star[edit]
At 20th level, you fully master your radiation’s power. As an action for 10 purple chakra points while Feather Manifestation is active, you gain one of the following instead of a Diverse Feather Transformation until it ends or you use either feature again:
- Mysterious Dragon Method: Your wings expand into a menacing dragon. You become Gargantuan, creatures of your choice may occupy your space and move with you, and any creatures within your space including you gain a damage reduction of 5. If creatures within your space have a damage reduction, you may add these to this reduction (this does not allow creatures to benefit from a single reduction twice), you gain a flying speed equal to your movement speed and may take the dash action as a free action, and you gain a +1 bonus to any attack and damage rolls, your jutsu DC, and your AC.
- Mysterious Ghost Method: Your wings become a symbol on any surface. You can not use Feather Manifestation until it is destroyed by any creature as an action. If you are killed, when the creature that killed you comes within your movement speed of the symbol, it activates, destroying the symbol AND resurrecting you per true resurrection in a ghostly form. After 1 minute if you are not resurrected by any other means, you die instantly. While in your ghostly form, you can not create the symbol.
- Mysterious Chakra Predation: Your wings become gaping maws. On a hit with your unarmed strikes, your current and maximum hit points increase by 1/4 as much damage dealt (rounded down) to a maximum of the hit point max you normally have.
Star Implantation[edit]
If a creature without this subclass receives 100 purple chakra or attunes to a Star, their chakra system pathway mutates, granting them this subclass. If this happens after taking a different class or subclass, the creature can only gain features up to Diverse Feather Transformation, and you must be two levels higher than the listed requirement.
Path of the Star Unique Jutsu[edit]

As a full turn action, you meditate on the unique chakra-enhancing radiation within your body, becoming prone and blind until the beginning of your next turn, and transforming a number of normal chakra equal to your Intelligence modifier + 1 (minimum 1) into half as much purple chakra points. Purple chakra gained in this way becomes normal chakra after 1 minute.
