Range: | 60 feet |
Components: | V, S |
Duration: | Instant |
You summon a creature of pure light, known as a Patronus, that protects you and drives away dark entities. The Patronus takes the form of an animal that reflects your spirit and personality. This spell can be used in the following ways:
- Turn Undead: While the Patronus is present, any undead that comes within 30 feet of you must make a Wisdom saving throw against your spell DC. On a failed save, the undead is repelled and cannot come closer to you for the duration of the spell.
- Protection from Fear: The Patronus emits a calming aura. You and any friendly creatures within 30 feet are immune to fear effects while the Patronus is present.
- Radiant Light: The Patronus emits bright light in a 30-foot radius and dim light for another 30 feet. The light is considered magical and can dispel magical darkness created by spells of 3rd level or lower.
- Radiant Attack: As a bonus action on your turn, you can direct the Patronus to attack a creature within 30 feet of you. The Patronus fires a beam of radiant energy at the creature, which must make a Dexterity saving throw. The creature takes 8d6 radiant damage on a failed save, or half as much on a successful save.
At Higher Levels. If you cast this spell using a spell slot of 5th level or higher, the Patronus' effect lasts for 10 minutes without requiring concentration. Additionally, undead that fail the saving throw are stunned for 1 minute, and radiant damage increases by 2d6 for each level above 4th.
