Below is a list of all Utterances used by a Truenamer. Utterances are not spells, yet they produce a magical effect. Utterances solely use verbal components and they follow the Laws of the Universe. Utterances exist in three Lexicons: Evolving Mind, Crafted Tool, and Perfected Map.

Utterances must obey all Laws of the Universe.

Speaking an Utterance[edit]

You may speak an Utterance whenever you use an action or reaction as long as you are not already speaking. If you use the Ready action, you can only use an Utterance during the reaction. If you have more than one action, you can use an Utterance during each of those actions, as long as you adhere to the Laws of the Universe. (i.e. if you use an utterance to grant yourself another action, you can't use it again on the additional action, but you can use a different Utterance.)

Speaking an Utterance vs Creatures
Make a spell check to determine if you pronounced it correctly using the target's Intelligence score as the DC. If you fail this check, your Utterance also fails.
Speaking an Utterance vs Items
Make a spell check to determine if you pronounced it correctly using DC10 + 2 per magic rarity for items. If you fail this check, your Utterance also fails.
Mundane: DC10
Common: DC12
Uncommon: DC14
Rare: DC16
Very Rare: DC18
Legendary: DC20
Artifact: DC22
Speaking an Utterance using the Lexicon of the Perfected Map
Make a DC20 spell check to determine if you pronounced it correctly. If you fail this check, your Utterance also fails.
Speaking an Utterance with a Personal Truename
If you know the target's Personal Truename, you may apply it's power to any Utterance you know. Make a spell check to determine if you pronounced it correctly using a normal Utterance's DC for the target +5. If successful, you may choose to Empower (50% extra numerical values), Reach (double range), Extend (double duration) or Focus (disadvantage on saving throw). These effects apply to the Utterance you chose.
Utterance Save DC
For Utterances that require a Saving throw, the DC is your spellcasting DC (8 + Proficiency + INT).
