Soul Points. Gluttony has 7 soul points, which are regained at the end of a long rest, and 20 temporary soul points. He can consume a philosopher's stone to regain 1/4 the number of Alchemic Stamina points as soul points. If this would increase his soul points above his maximum, he instead gains temporary soul points. TSP can stack and can be used in the same manner as normal soul points, but are not regained at the end of a long rest.

Evasion. When Gluttony is subjected to an effect that allows him to make a Dexterity saving throw to take only half damage, he instead takes no damage if he succeeds on the saving throw, and only half damage if he fails.

Consumption. When Gluttony kills a humanoid creature that has a CR of 1 or lower with an unarmed strike, he gains 1 temporary soul point, completely devouring their body in seconds. He may consume corpses in the same manner, but does not gain soul points from doing so.

Digestion. Gluttony's unarmed strikes deal twice as much damage to objects and constructs, and he suffers no negative effects from eating inanimate objects. Additionally, his unarmed strikes automatically hit a creature he is grappling.

Connoisseur. Gluttony is aware of the effects and location of any poisons, potions, and other substances that would otherwise cause an effect through consumption within 15 feet of him.

ACTIONS

Unarmed Strike. Melee Weapon Attack: +7 to hit, reach 5 ft., one target. Hit: 4 bludgeoning damage. Gluttony may spent 1 soul point to deal an additional 4 (1d8) damage on a hit.

Regeneration (1 Soul Point). As a bonus action, Gluttony regains 8 (1d8 + 4) hit points. Gluttony may spend 2 soul points to use Regeneration as a reaction, or 3 soul points to use it as a free action or when he is reduced to 0 hit points.

Unyielding (1 Soul Point). Gluttony takes the dash, dodge, or disengage actions as bonus actions. He can take each of these actions on the same bonus action for 1 additional soul point.

REACTIONS

Mouth Catch. If an object is moved anywhere within 5 ft. of Gluttony, such as by being thrown, he swallows it. Its effects can only target him, he takes half as much damage from it, and he has advantage on any saving throws it causes.

Much like Dante's other homunculi, Gluttony is a soul pulled from the Gate of Truth after someone tried to bring him back to life, though who he used to be is unknown. Uniquely, Gluttony was designed to manufacture Philosopher's Stones, as the souls of his victims naturally condense into the substance without the use of alchemy. However, after the death of Lust, whom he was obsessed with, he lost his appetite, resulting in Dante purifying his stone, refining his personhood into the sole characteristic of gluttony, though this would ultimately result in him consuming Dante herself.

Vortex of Souls. When Gluttony is targeted by detect magic or a similar effect, or contacted by any form of two-way telepathy, the caster hears the screams of every soul inside of him and must succeed a DC 22 Charisma saving throw or become frightened for 1 minute. They may retry this saving throw at the end of each of their turns, ending this effect early on a success.

Mystically Mundane. Gluttony can not spend spell slots or Alchemic Stamina.

Unaging. Gluttony does not need to eat, drink, or sleep, and does not age.

Rage (4/day). As a bonus action while not wearing heavy armor, Glutony may enter a rage for 1 minute, or until he is knocked unconscious, his turn ends and he hasn't attacked a hostile creature or taken damage since his last turn, or he stops raging as a bonus action, granting him the following:

  • Gluttony has advantage on Strength checks and Strength saving throws.
  • When Gluttony makes a melee weapon attack using Strength, he gains a +2 bonus to the damage roll.
  • Gluttony has resistance to bludgeoning, piercing, and slashing damage.
  • Gluttony gains the following attack:
    • Bite. Melee Weapon Attack: +10 to hit, reach 5 ft., one target. Hit: 8 (1d8 + 4) piercing damage. Once on each of Gluttony's turns when he damages a creature with this bite, he regains 6 hit points, provided he has less than half his hit points when he hits.

Reckless Attack. When Gluttony makes his first attack on his turn, he can decide to attack recklessly. Doing so gives him advantage on melee weapon attack rolls using Strength during this turn, but attack rolls against him have advantage until his next turn.

Danger Sense. Gluttony has advantage on Dexterity saving throws against effects that he can see, such as traps and spells. To gain this benefit, he can't be blinded, deafened, or incapacitated.

Feral Instinct. Gluttony has advantage on initiative rolls. Additionally, if he is surprised at the beginning of combat and aren't incapacitated, he can act normally on his first turn, but only if he enters his rage before doing anything else on that turn.

Brute. When Gluttony jumps, he can make a Strength (Athletics) check and extend his jump by a number of feet equal to the check’s total. He can make this special check only once per turn.

ACTIONS

Multiattack. Gluttony makes two attacks with his unarmed strike or bite attacks.

Unarmed Strike. Melee Weapon Attack: +10 to hit, reach 5 ft., one target. Hit: 5 bludgeoning damage.

After being purified, Gluttony spend years beneath Central City consuming everything around him, eventually becoming a disgusting, mindless, multi-limbed monster. Gluttony would finally die alongside Pride when Alphonse Elric used their combined mass of souls to open a gate, allowing his teacher and Wrath to pass through to the other side.

Vortex of Souls. When Gluttony is targeted by detect magic or a similar effect, or contacted by any form of two-way telepathy, the caster hears the screams of every soul inside of him and must succeed a DC 22 Charisma saving throw or become frightened for 1 minute.
