Among the smallest of Mount Myoboku's toads, Gamakosuke is cheerful, and greatly respects his elders. During Naruto's sage training, Kosuke was sent as an ambassador to the Hidden Leaf Village under Tsunade's command to ensure that, if the Akatsuki were to attack, toad reinforcements, along with Naruto himself, would be almost immediate. However, when the inevitable happened, Danzo Shimura assassinated the toad in order to keep the Leaf strong alone, keep Naruto and his Nine-Tails out of the Akatsuki's hands, and with some luck even supersede Tsunade as Hokage. Despite this, Gamatama witnessed his name's disappearance from Mount Myoboku's scroll of names, leading to reinforcements being sent anyway. |
