Enduring. The bokoblin has advantage on saving throws made to resist exhaustion, and can thrive on one-quarter of the food and water needed for a creature of its size.

Reckless. At the start of its turn, the bokoblin can gain advantage on all melee weapon attack rolls it makes during that turn, but attack rolls against it have advantage until the start of its next turn.

ACTIONS

Club. Melee Weapon Attack: +3 to hit, reach 5 ft., one target. Hit: 3 (1d4 + 1) bludgeoning damage.

Slingshot. Ranged Weapon Attack: +3 to hit, range 30/90 ft., one target. Hit: 3 (1d4 + 1) bludgeoning damage.

See Moblin (5e Creature).

Hunched over humanoids with ugly faces and dull minds, bokoblins are considered by others to be lowest of the low. Just like all moblins, they are inherently cruel, seeking to harm all that doesn't aid them for the mere fun of doing so. They lack strength or skill in practically any area, and barely eek out an existence by living off the scraps of others — or what they've managed to beat out of those too weak to fight them. They seem to treasure the bones of creatures they've killed, using them as status symbols to prove their superiority over other bokoblins.

Persevering. The only credit reluctantly given to bokoblins is their tenacity. Their subrace has managed to survive mostly unchanged since before history began, and continues to populate the wilderness in high numbers. Unique among humanoids, they reproduce rapidly and in large litter-like batches, which aids the race in their continued existence. They are believed to be the most numerous of moblins by far.

Color Hierarchy. While bokoblins are usually of red, orange, or brown skin, other colorations are possible. Those of uncommon green or blue skin tones are of higher status among moblins, but of little physiological difference. However, golden bokoblins are treated akin to demigods—these rare varieties wield power and intelligence backed by the hint of Ganon's magic that has influenced the race.

Variant: Moblin Club

Although crushers are usually crafted and wielded by big moblins or lynels, occasionally a bokoblin manages to get its hands on one. This variant's club action is replaced with the following:

Crusher. Melee Weapon Attack: +1 to hit, reach 5 ft., one target. Hit: 8 (1d10 + 3) bludgeoning damage.

Variant: Shield and Sword

Rarely, a bokoblin makes use of decent weaponry—usually something it managed to swipe from a real warrior. This bokoblin wields a shield, and wears hide armor, increasing its AC to 15. Its actions are replaced with the following:

Scimitar. Melee Weapon Attack: +3 to hit, reach 5 ft., one target. Hit: 4 (1d6 + 1) slashing damage.
Shortbow. Ranged Weapon Attack: +3 to hit, range 80/320, one target. Hit: 4 (1d6 + 1) piercing damage.

The Challenge Rating of this variant increases to 1/4 (50 XP).

Variant: Tough Bokoblin

Some bokoblins are of remarkably greater strength and endurance. These varieties are usually distinguished by a blue or green color.

This bokoblin's hit points increase to 30, and it can take a Multiattack action as follows:

Multiattack. The bokoblin makes two melee weapon attacks.

The Challenge Rating of this variant increases to 1/4 (50 XP). If a tough bokoblin also wields a shield and sword, or a moblin club, its CR increases to 1/2 (100 XP).
