Closing your eyes and outstretching your arms, you mutter a few Astral words. A blue glow envelops your entire body, forming a shimmering, protective layer that constantly shifts to intercept any impact. When an attacker successfully hits the veil, it releases a stored burst of temporal energy in a miniature explosion.
Once this spell has been cast, your AC increases by 2. Additionally, when you are hit by a melee attack, the attacker must make a Constitution saving throw. On a failed save, the attacker takes 5d8 force damage, and the spell ends. On a successful save, the attacker takes half damage, and the spell continues.
At higher levels, When you cast this spell using a spell slot of 5th level or higher, the spell's duration increases by an additional minute for each spell slot level above 4th.
