Welcoming Users
Hello Geodude671. I notice that you've been welcoming new users to the site. Are you aware of the user creation log? I find it to be very useful in welcoming new users. SirSprinkles (talk) 07:12, 14 May 2017 (UTC)

Asgardian Race Being marked for deletion
Hey you marked this as to be abandoned please let me know what I need to fix this thanks. Blueshark0722 (talk)
- I wasn't the person to mark it as abandoned; I just re-added the tag when an IP removed it.
- As Asgardian (5e Race) is currently, it is extremely bare-bones. It is missing a summary (this is the first parameter in the racial traits template), needs to say more than just "viking names" in the names section, and "same as Earth's viking culture" is extremely lazy and unhelpful to someone not knowledgeable about that part of history. That page needs a lot of work if you want to get it to a decent point. — Geodude671 (talk | contribs | email) . . 22:51, 28 January 2018 (MST)
It has been updated partially but I could use help from people. Also I used the template and never saw a summary and I was going partially off of what is in the PHB for the races. Blueshark0722 (talk)
Meloetta Salvage
I thank you for helping to save the Meloetta race, and I would definitely help you with anything you need to the best of my ability. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by IonTheDark (talk • contribs) . Please sign your posts.
- The race needs more flavor text, mostly. I'm also looking for feedback on the crunch, but please don't go editing that section! --Geodude671 (talk | contribs) . . 14:14, 4 June 2017 (UTC)
Serpent Folk Deletion
I'm letting you know that I'm the one who removed/changed the Serpent Folk deletion template, so as to not report me for removing it :) I failed to check the page history when I suggested that a CfD template might be necessary and so did not know that it was being actively worked on and was just a few days old. Sorry for the confusion.--GamerAim (talk) 16:05, 19 June 2017 (UTC)
Catfolk 5e Changes
Hi. I created the catfolk race about 2 years ago for 5e, but was not very familier with the ruleset, so there were many character errors. I did not however wish for my race's backstory and description to be changed. I would think nobody would like people running around and changing details about there created race on a whim. I understand about the gameplay details, not the background and other things. Would it be possible for this to be reverted? I could just go do it myself by the same logic. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by Tsuu (talk • contribs) . Please sign your posts.
- The only changes I made to the fluff were the subrace names and the height/weight chart. If these changes aren't what you are talking about, then it wasn't made by me. — Geodude671 (talk | contribs) . . 21:47, 5 July 2017 (MDT)
- I actually would like the size to remain as I had it. I created the race and should have the ability to keep the race as I made it. I CREATED the race with the intention of it having the ability to be a small race or a medium race. With there size varying between 3 feet and 8. Please stop changing my race. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by 2601:345:4200:f820:60d1:ec6b:78a9:3b0f (talk • contribs) . Please sign your posts.
- If you have a problem with changes being made to a race, discuss them on the talk page, but understand that being the OP of the race doesn't give you ultimate authority over it. The wiki is both implicitly (by nature of being a wiki) and explicitly (by nature of a disclaimer) clear that anything you upload here can (with a few exceptions) be edited mercilessly by other users. If you'd like to recover a version of your race as you had it before, use the history tab and get a permanent link to a specific revision :) --GamerAim (talk) 20:04, 6 July 2017 (MDT)
- I understand that the race could use balancing changes. But changing someones race from the original intent of the race seems very wrong. If anyone is aloud to go around changing the backstory and history of a race, then nothing would ever stay the same. If people are allowed to change races without authority what so ever, then there should be no issue with me changing it as well. The very first thing I decided when I created the race was that I wanted them to vary in size wildly, so for that to be removed is essentially removing the entire purpose of the race. If balancing is an issue, I don't mind suggestions to allow both small and medium size's of the race to be available. But please don't remove the varying sizes. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by 2601:345:4200:f820:60d1:ec6b:78a9:3b0f (talk • contribs) . Please sign your posts.
- I am opposed to making the catfolk small-sized because it feels jarring. When we see cat people elsewhere, they don't come up to only a human's waist. They are normally around human size, so to have the catfolk race be small size just feels wrong, at least to me.
- This is a wiki. You need to be prepared for other people editing the pages you create. At the bottom of every edit box, including the one I am currently typing this message into, there is a message that says "If you do not want your writing to be edited mercilessly and redistributed at will, then do not submit it here." If you truly do not want anyone else to edit "your" page, you can move it into your userspace, where other users are not allowed to edit (or at least, to do so would be considered extremely rude), except for administrators to remove content that breaks sitewide rules. If you do not know how to do this, I or another user would be willing to help you or do it for you. — Geodude671 (talk | contribs) . . 23:37, 6 July 2017 (MDT)
- Note that userpages are generally for sandboxes, working on pages before publishing them, stuff like that. Not just for storing pages you like. And since, AFAIK, the cat race isn't being deleted, you can just access a link to a prior history if you need it, without duplicating it elsewhere on the wiki. If you two don't agree on the race, please move this discussion to its talk page and I'm sure you can come to an agreement :) There's no reason it can't be small, or even have a small subrace or something. Keeping the spirit and intent of a page is important, yes, but people can't always know it! That's why we have talk pages, so that people can discuss collaboration :) --GamerAim (talk) 05:30, 7 July 2017 (MDT)
- It appears you are still unhappy with how things turned out with the Catfolk race. I was happy with the last change you made, but it appears that you were not. I have begun to comment on the discussion page. Come collaborate. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by 2601:345:4200:F820:4846:4831:2969:4F78 (talk • contribs) . Please sign your posts.
Problem User
I noticed your problems with a certain user, aka igneelthedragonbornmonk, and would like to say that I have also had to deal what the user had done to make pages that were balanced unbalanced or by making pages more unbalanced. I have had to experience random unsolicited edits from them, and I am worried that any work that I would do on pages they are following would be undone with no discussion, explanation, or reason. If talking does not work, we can see what to do from there.--Blobby383b (talk) 01:54, 12 July 2017 (MDT)
- I informally reported him in the tavern chat, and posted a message on his talk page telling him to stop. If you continue to have problems, talk to GamerAim about it, since he's the one that I talked to about it before. — Geodude671 (talk | contribs) . . 08:44, 12 July 2017 (MDT)
Congrats
Hey Geodude, congratulations on becoming a helper! Even before I talked to you, I have seen how helpful your edits were and am glad that you have become a balancing helper. I may be calling on you soon to assist on 5e pages now, but besides that good job!--Blobby383b (talk) 18:24, 17 July 2017 (MDT)
- Thanks, but you don't need to do anything special to be a helper. All you need to do to be a helper is add yourself to the helper category. — Geodude671 (talk | contribs) . . 10:22, 24 July 2017 (MDT)

Reincarnators Race
Why'd you move it? I was editing the subraces when all my work went to trash because it was moved. Why? Like seriously. That bothers me. It was still in construction. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by Ghostie (talk • contribs) . Please sign your posts.
- I moved it because the page title was missing the (5e Race) identifier on the end, which all 5e Races are supposed to have. I'm sorry this inconvenienced you, and your concern is duly noted. — Geodude671 (talk | contribs) . . 13:00, 28 July 2017 (MDT)

Converting a Race Into a Creature
Hey geodude, I was wondering whether you could help me turn the necrolyte race that has a cool core idea but is unbalanced into a creature? I can understand if you can't, but if not, could you at least point me in a direction of someone who could possibly help? Thank you for your time either way.--Blobby383b (talk) 16:51, 29 July 2017 (MDT)
- Sure, what specifically do you need help with? — Geodude671 (talk | contribs) . . 17:07, 29 July 2017 (MDT)
- The creature idea is on the race's talk page, but I am unsure of how to balance and how to create a creature as I have not done it before.--Blobby383b (talk) 17:10, 29 July 2017 (MDT)
- Do you own the DMG? In chapter 9 there's a section on creating new creatures that should help you out tremendously. I refer to it all the time when calculating CR. — Geodude671 (talk | contribs) . . 17:23, 29 July 2017 (MDT)
- No, but I will see if I can get or ask someone for a copy of it though. I may also ask you for help looking at the conversion later.--Blobby383b (talk) 17:43, 29 July 2017 (MDT)
- How does Necrolyte (5e Creature) look? I am not entirely sure how balanced it is, but I believe I did I pretty good job converting it into a creature.
- That creature's HP should be 15 (2d8+6); I'm not sure where that extra 18 HP is coming from. I didn't check CR but everything else looks good. — Geodude671 (talk | contribs) . . 17:56, 30 July 2017 (MDT)
- Ohhh, The bonus is based off of your Con modifier. I will tweak the class so that the hit points and a few other traits of the creature to make it more balanced as a CR 2 creature. Also, thanks for helping and for the DMG reference, it helped a lot.--Blobby383b (talk) 18:41, 30 July 2017 (MDT)

About your nomination
Sorry I missed the party- and that it didn't swing your way. For what it's worth, I would have supported you. You care about the wiki, and in an internet full of communities that ban all content from this website, or at best consider us a joke, we need more people who care. Give it some time, prove you'll be a long term benefit. Try again in the future, I'll still be around for years to come. --Kydo (talk) 19:45, 7 September 2017 (MDT)
- Hey, sorry I missed this. Thank you for your support, late as it is. If you want to renominate me at some later point, I certainly won't mind :). — Geodude671 (talk | contribs | email) . . 11:35, 16 September 2017 (MDT)
- I came to your talk page for another reason but saw this. I'd like it to be more than a chat room thing I mentioned aka somewhere more visible for others. I think you were doing better during the time of your RfA and that your personally interactions have gotten better, except for a recent comment on a talk page. I see your side of it and don't hold it against you though I would say try a little more tact ;-). When (not if) you're nominated again, I think things will go much better for it. DUDE
Why are you randomly slapping on deletion tags? —The preceding unsigned comment was added by DraconicMan (talk • contribs) . Please sign your posts.
- I am not slapping on deletion tags "randomly." Drider (5e Feat), as it is currently, is not usable. If this is meant to use a "Corruption" variant rule, perhaps you should post that variant rule first, and then post the feat that uses it.
- Additionally, even taking into account that it is meant to use a variant rule, it is still outside the scope of 5e feats, and would perhaps be more appropriate as a variant rule. — Geodude671 (talk | contribs | email) . . 18:52, 7 October 2017 (MDT)
- Let other people play what they want. Corruption is a style of feats not a variant rule. Please stay off my pages. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by DraconicMan (talk • contribs) . Please sign your posts.

- Dude, you can edit to try to fix, but random deletion, not cool. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by DraconicMan (talk • contribs) . Please sign your posts.
- I normally do edit to try to fix it, but without any details on what exactly corruption is or what it does, I proposed it for deletion because, in my eyes, it was beyond fixing.
- I've made a few bad deletion proposals in the past, true, but I don't just run around like a headless chicken slapping on deletion templates all willy-nilly. I've been on this site for a healthy amount of time, 6 months to the day, having been actively contributing to the site for most of that time, so surely by now I would have gotten in trouble if I was making frivolous deletion proposals? — Geodude671 (talk | contribs | email) . . 19:20, 7 October 2017 (MDT)
- I'm looking at your stuff... You may want more 5e experience before making things. I'm not finding anything remotely balanced.
- Please feel free to point out problematic content when you see it, but I don't consider any of my content to be unbalanced, though some of it is definitely powerful.
- To address the specific pages you put templates on, Berserker, Prestige (5e Class) and Dragon Disciple (5e Class) are prestige classes that were designed using Unearthed Arcana: Prestige Classes and Rune Magic as a guide. The dragon disciple is a complete page under that standard, even though it only goes up to level 10. I also like that you didn't complain about any of the parts of that class that I was actually concerned about being potentially unbalancing or confusing. As for the prestige berserker, I'm not quite sure what your issue is? The berserker only gets a 25% critical hit chance when at low HP, otherwise its critical hit chance is 10%, and the only part that might be considered "messy" is the Armsfaire feature, which just has you select one feature from a list of options.
- If you feel I have not sufficiently addressed your concerns, please reply either here or on the talk page of the article in question in more detail so that I can better address your issue. — Geodude671 (talk | contribs | email) . . 19:42, 7 October 2017 (MDT)

Serene 5e_Race edits
Serene are not casting their voice as spells. It's a racial trait whose effects are that of those spells, similar to how a Siren's natural ability is to charm people. They are not casting a spell so changing it to spell casting is incorrect for what the race is supposed to be.
- Sorry I misunderstood your intent. By the way, what was the point of reverting to a previous version if you were going to just use a variation of my edit? — Geodude671 (talk | contribs | email) . . 22:13, 13 October 2017 (MDT)
I am not above accepting critiques. I liked most of your edits and they make sense for the logic of the race. I was basically getting a plain layout down so I could come back and revise this evening when I had a clearer head. This is why I left it as an incomplete race. I also had a few others go over it with me throughout the day to get things straight in my mind.

SlimeFolk change I recommend
trait9=Senses |description9=Blindsight 60 ft. (blind beyond this radius), passive Perception 10. Can see physically in a 10 ft radius.
|I just think that as a part ooze it should have a Blindsight ability hindering its sight of reading/noticing details at the perceived distance in addition having a physical sight of only 10 feet crippling his perception to |blindsight from 10 feet to 60ft, this in turn would hurt the characters sight, but adding to the realism of the character being part Ooze —The preceding unsigned comment was added by 134.210.97.38 (talk • contribs) . Please sign your posts.
- I would rather not give the Slimefolk blindsight. They're ooze-kin, true, but they're human-like enough that they can see the same way you and I can. — Geodude671 (talk | contribs | email) . . 14:41, 2 November 2017 (MDT)
- But if you think about it as a ooze-kin wouldn't there sight be clouded, making there sight limited to a nearly blind state, but not fully blind, calling for the need for blindsight. Blindsight isn't really a buff either, something with blindsight can notice were things are in location to were they are, but when it comes down to the finer details, blindsight cant read whats on a paper, or notice fine details in a carved piece of wood. so with the clouded sight idea in mind i was thinking it would make sense for the being to only be able to see 10 feet in front of themselves in addition to only 50ft beyond using Blindsight. This trait as it seems would be balanced, if anything it will hinder the character instead of buffing it due to the limited sight affecting its perception beyond 60ft compared to other characters who could see beyond that.
- in addition it should be added because it would add a deficiency to ranged weapon, as the person would only be able to sense shapes, not what/ who they are making them not attack due to complications of not wanting to shoot a friend. so this would also make people playing as this class stick to close combat, something ooze usually do.
- I still disagree with making this change, but if you insist, feel free to make a fork of that page (perhaps at Slimefolk, Variant (5e Race)?). — Geodude671 (talk | contribs | email) . . 10:25, 3 November 2017 (MDT)

Adminship
Welcome to Adminship. You are now part of "The Face" of D&D Wiki. You have more burden on yourself now that you are an admin because users will be looking at you for editing help, knowledge about pages, etc. Make sure to familiarize yourself with Meta Pages to help address this burden. I recommend you take a look at Special:ListGroupRights if you have not already. Some of the new feature's uses follow: You can now delete pages, protect pages, rollback edits, block users and IP's, edit every page, patrol edits, and do a couple more minor things.
- Deleting pages is normally done through Category:Candidates for Deletion. Anything with a good reason to be deleted on that page should be deleted. Other times pages should be deleted is in the case of vandalism, spam, or even when someone makes a page and after a few edits they either blank the page or replace it with something like "Please delete this". If this page consisted of close to just the preload it is fine to just delete it.
- Protecting pages has quite a few different times when it should be used. Pages should be protected according to the author's wishes (with Template:Locked Page added to the top of the page in question), in case of conflict (with Template:Temp Locked Page added to the top of the page in question), in case of OGC published materials (with Template:OGL Top added to the top of the page in question and Template:OGL Bottom added to the bottom), or finally if the page is a vital part of D&D Wiki's organization. Also, if it deals with D&D Wiki's organization the page needs to be protected. For Example 3.5e Homebrew is protected from all non-sysop edits. No template needs to be added to pages if they are part of D&D Wiki's organization (even though some do exist like Template:Admin Locked Page)
- Blocking a user or IP should be used with respect to policy. To block someone just click "block" (found on Recent Changes, the diff in question, the userpage, etc) and fill out the corresponding form. For a typical vandalism attack I normally block the user for two weeks. Certain things demand a longer block and others a shorter. No standards have been set for block lengths so use your best judgment.
- Editing every page on D&D Wiki mostly means you can now edit the 5e SRD, 3.5e SRD and the MSRD. Feel free to edit them if inaccuracies are found. If interested further please look at their To-Do lists; I am sure your help will be appreciated.
Now that you are an admin I would say more burden is placed on you, but I really hope you enjoy being an admin and I hope you decide to stay around on D&D Wiki for a while more to come. Welcome to Adminship. Again, you're now part of "The Face" of D&D Wiki. --Green Dragon (talk) 23:34, 21 January 2018 (MST)

Locked Page Templates
Whack! Don't take this too seriously. Someone just wants to let you know you did something silly. |
I saw your edit, and just wanted to let you know that if you change one of the locked page templates, then please change them all (the category should have them listed), or merge the two locked page templates together since it seens like we only will use one anyway while keeping the edit warring one. --Green Dragon (talk) 09:08, 23 January 2018 (MST)
Naruto V2 shinobi Class
Hey Geodude671! I saw that the Naruto Ninja Class V2 (5e Class) was deleted by you and was hoping if there's any possible way I can get some information that was on that page. I'm currently using that class along with the first version of the class to sort of fill the blanks. Most importantly, I was using the "jinjuriki" section of that page and I need some of the resources of that section. Is there any way that information may still exist or you can point me in the direction of the page's creator? Thanks! --DrGamm
- I have temporarily restored Naruto Ninja Class V2 (5e Class). I will re-delete it in a few days, so please copy the information down if you need it for longer than that. — Geodude671 (talk | contribs | email) . . 22:20, 28 January 2018 (MST)
