You send two waves of sand at one or two creatures within range. Mak a ranged spell attack with each projectile, dealing 2d6 bludgeoning damage on a hit. For each creature hit by this spell, you may have it make a Dexterity saving throw, becoming grappled by the sand on a failed save. A creature can repeat the saving throw as an action on each of its turns, breaking out of the grapple on a success.
If you have successfully grappled one or more creatures with this spell, you may cast the desert coffin spell (if you know it) as a bonus action until the end of your next turn.
At Higher Levels. When you cast this spell using a spell slot of 3rd level or higher, its range increases by 15 feet and the number of projectiles increases by one for each slot level above 2nd. You can direct the projectiles at the same target or at different ones.
