Toshikazu Hazamada (JJBA Supplement)
From D&D Wiki
Hazamada[edit]
Medium humanoid (Human), neutral evil Armor Class 15 (natural armor)
Saving Throws Int +5, Wis +6 Spirit Points. Hazamada has 9 spirit points which he can expend. All spirit points are regained at the end of a long rest. Discernment. When Hazamada is targeted by an area effect that lets him make an Intelligence or Wisdom saving throw to take only half damage, he instead takes no damage if he succeeds on the saving throw, and only half damage if he fails the save. Denting Blows. If Hazamada is grappling a creature or being grappled by a creature, his and Surface's attacks automatically hit the creature and deal an additional 4 damage. Hazamada may still make an attack roll to determine if he scores a critical hit. This feature extends to creatures who are too large to be grappled as long as he climbs on to them. Additionally, Hazamada may make an unarmed strike as a bonus action, or two unarmed strikes for 1 spirit point. Bully. Hazamada's attacks have advantage on attack rolls against targets with a size category lower than his own. ACTIONSUnarmed Strike. Melee Weapon Attack: +5 to hit, reach 5 ft., one target. Hit: 2 bludgeoning damage. Summon Stand. As a bonus action, Surface appears anywhere within 5 feet of Hazamada or is unsummoned.

Born in 1981, Hazamada was always a little off; considered a bit of a creep by his peers. In the spring of 1999, Keicho Nijimura struck him with the Stand arrow, awakening his Stand; Surface. On one March day, Hazamada and one of his friends had an argument, and in his anger the boy decided to test out his Stand, using his Stand to mimic the friend and force him to stab out his own eye with a ballpoint pen. As rumors spread, Tamami Kobayashi caught wind of the strange occurrence, notifying Koichi Hirose, who had just beaten him, and Josuke Higashikata of the potential rogue Stand user. When the two broke into Hazamada's locker, Surface took action, mimicking Josuke and incapacitating Koichi with a wide swing of his friend's muscular arm. Knowing that, should Jotaro catch wind of his power, his whole scheme would be over, he called Jotaro to meet in person where he planned to stab him in the back. He would've succeeded too had he not attacked a group of bikers on the way, whom Josuke had healed in pursuit and had taken upon themselves to hospitalize Hazamada for the disservice. In the end, Hazamada set his lofty ambitions aside, becoming a casual addition to their friend group. |
Surface[edit]
Medium elemental (Stand), neutral evil Armor Class 18 (natural armor)
Saving Throws Int +5, Wis +6 Manifestation of Will. Surface acts on Hazamada's turn and uses his actions, bonus actions, and reactions. Whenever Surface takes damage while it is at 0 hit points, Hazamada instead takes half as much damage. Any feature that effects Hazamada also effects Surface. Any effects that target Surface affect Hazamada instead, though any attack rolls or saving throws made as part of the effect are still made against Surface. If both Hazamada and Surface are targeted by an effect, only Surface is targeted. Surface can only move up to 60 ft. of Hazamada, and moves in parallel with Hazamada when he moves beyond the 60 ft. radius. Exploit Weakness. On a hit with Surface's unarmed strikes, Hazamada may spend 1 spirit point to decrease the target's AC to a maximum penalty of -4 until the end of the target's next long rest. If a creature is affected by this feature by multiple creatures, this maximum is equal to the highest proficiency bonus among the creatures affecting them. Sturdy Frame. Surface has a damage reduction of 4, and when a creature hits Surface with an unarmed strike, they take bludgeoning damage equal to half the damage they dealt to a maximum of 4. ACTIONSUnarmed Strike. Melee Weapon Attack: +8 to hit, reach 5 ft., one target. Hit: 5 bludgeoning damage. Mimicry (3 Spirit Points). Surface copies the appearance and voice of a creature within 15 feet of it almost perfectly. A creature who knows the original creature must succeed a DC 16 Perception check when they take the Search action to differentiate Surface from the original. Forced Synchronization (1 Spirit Point). As a bonus action while Surface is mimicking a creature within 15 ft. of it, the original creature must attempt a DC 16 Strength saving throw. On a failure, the creature becomes paralyzed and mimics any actions Surface takes until the beginning of Hazamada's next turn. Their Stand still follows their own commands as if they were not paralyzed.
