The Yato Blade (5e Equipment)

Weapon (longsword), Legendary (Unique) (Can only be wielded by Corrin (this can be modified to suit your campaign) 1000 years ago, a great war was waged between the First Dragons. One of the dragons, the Rainbow Sage, loved humanity and knew that in order to win the war, he would need their assistance. In order to give them the power to fight the other Dragons, the Rainbow Sage forged five legendary weapons for his champions to wield. Among them was Yato, the strongest of the weapons he created. Drawing power from the Fujin Yumi, Raijinto, Brynhildr, and Siegfried, the power of Yato grew immensely and became key for ending the war alongside its sibling weapons. After the war, Yato was sealed, losing much of its power in the process. However, the Rainbow Sage foretold that one day, Yato would reveal itself once more and be used by a chosen warrior to end another great war. This sword has the Finesse property and deals 3d10 slashing on hit. This sword gains +1 to attack and damage rolls. This weapon counts as magical for the purpose of overcoming resistance and immunity to non-magical attacks. Once per Long Rest, you may make a History Check with a DC of 15 to transform this blade into the Alpha Yato. When in this form, the sword gains +2 to attack and damage rolls and you may choose one of its additional properties. Transforming into the Alpha Yato grants the user +10 movement speed. Noble Soul - If a party member of yours has the Fujin Yumi, you may spend 1 hour attuning this blade to it to transform it into the Noble Yato. In this form, all damage it deals is Force damage. Transforming into this form allows the user to have Extra Attack when making an attack roll with this sword. If the user already has Extra Attack, they may add an additional attack roll. (Maximum 3 attack rolls) Blazing Soul - If a party member of yours has the Raijinto, you may spend 1 hour attuning this blade to it to transform it into the Blazing Yato. In this form, all damage it deals is Fire damage. Transforming into this form allows the user to deal an additional 3d6 Fire damage on hit. Grim Soul - If a party member of yours has the Brynhildr, you may spend 1 hour attuning this blade to it to transform it into the Grim Yato. In this form, all damage it deals is Cold damage. Transforming into this form allows the user to cast Ray of Frost at 17th level as a bonus action. Shadow Soul - If a party member of yours has the Siegfried, you may spend 1 hour attuning this blade to it to transform it into the Shadow Yato. In this form, all damage it deals is Necrotic damage. Transforming into this form allows the user to cast Chaos Bolt as a 9th level spell with Necrotic as the damage as a bonus action. Omega - If the Fujin Yumi, Raijinto, Brynhildr, and Siegfried are in your party, you may spend 1 hour attuning this blade to them to transform it into the Omega Yato. In this form, all damage it deals is Force damage. Transforming into this form allows the user to gain the effects of Superior Critical and Extra Attack if they do not have it already.
