From D&D Wiki
9th-level Conjuration | |
Casting time: | 10 minutes |

Range: | 500 feet |
Components: | V, S, M (ruby dust worth 5,000 gp, which the spell consumes) |
Duration: | Instantaneous |
A 100-foot radius sphere of light spreads out from a point you choose within range. The sphere is bright light and sheds dim light for an additional 100 feet. This light is sunlight.
When you cast the spell, you can program an "orbit" for the sphere of light to move in; you can decide if it hovers in place, travels back in forth in a line, in a circle, etc., and how fast it moves, although its speed cannot exceed 10 feet per round. The sphere can move through solid objects. You can also program the brightness of the sphere; it may always be maximum brightness, or it may dim itself or even go out entirely, depending on how you schedule it. After the spell is cast, by concentrating for another 10 minutes you can reprogram the orbit and brightness of the sphere.
If any of this spell's area overlaps with an area of darkness created by a spell of 9th level or lower, the spell that created the darkness is dispelled.
Spells and magical effects such as dispel magic have no effect on the sphere, nor do antimagic fields; the only way to destroy it is by casting wish.
