There appears to be some trouble in the table's formatting. Also armor weight isn't displaying properly.

I am not entirely sure why the second column is misaligned. Please make sure to remove all the comments properly on the armor pages so that all their values display. --Green Dragon (talk) 01:24, 27 August 2014 (MDT)

It seems like armor with the April Fools category doesn't show up anywhere on this page. Quincy (talk) 09:20, 3 September 2018 (MDT)

Yep, april fools pages where exceled from the dpl's of the regular armor pages(so users don't get joke pages confused with real ones), so I created a small section right before incomplete armor for Joke pieces of armor. Thanks for pointing that issue out.--Blobby383b (talk) 10:18, 3 September 2018 (MDT)

A properties column[edit]

I notice a fair number of armors have special properties. Advantage on Stealth in dim light. Reducing incoming Piercing damage by 1. Etc. Perhaps a column on the table to mark the presence of special properties, similar to the table for weapons, would be beneficial. AmeyBoop (talk) 21:47, 3 February 2023 (MST)

Sounds harmless enough. It just looks a bit messier than weapons since they don't have the convenience of "one word properties." Or at least, not all of them. As a result, adding a parameter for that will be less standard and trickier for users.--Yanied (talk) 21:57, 3 February 2023 (MST)
It would probably wind up being more similar to the Summary field for feats or spells than the Special Properties field for weapons, given how some armors have more complicated special properties than others. Endermage77 (talk) 22:08, 3 February 2023 (MST)
Although I was in favor of having a Summary field, after some testing I am not sure I like the look of it as it makes the list look far too crowded with so much stuff going on. In addition, I am in agreement with both of you that a short field for special properties probably wouldn't work. If someone else wants to have a crack at adding the summaries to the table or has other ideas, I am ok discussing/doing that but otherwise I am fine leaving the armor list as it is. --Blobby383b (talk) 21:36, 21 December 2023 (MST)

Armor combination.[edit]

Can you use multiple sets of armor simaltaneously, Rules-As-Written? I think yes.

For example, you can strap 2 bucklers, 1 to each arm.

Or, you can put 3 armor sets: lower armor (padding), chainmail and main armor. For example, historical full plate armor was worn with chainmail and padding under it — not to mention what some fantasy heavy armor are so bulky what you could wear normal full-plate under it.

Take a look at the SRD to learn how the game works. --Green Dragon (talk) 15:25, 31 October 2023 (MDT)
Specifically, rules-as-written, "You can benefit from only one shield at a time." The plate armor description in the Player's Handbook already specifies that it comes with padding. Marasmusine (talk) 03:58, 22 December 2023 (MST)
