The M12 Light Reconnaissance Vehicle, often called the Warthog by UNSC soldiers, is designed to eliminate lightly armored personnel and low-flying aircraft. The most common variant of the M12, the LRV is nearly ubiquitous in ground engagements. The triple-barreled, electric-powered, linkless belt-fed machine gun is capable of firing 450 to 550 12.7×99mm armor penetrating rounds per minute. It is roughly 20x10x8 feet in size.

An M12 LRV can have one of the following weapons mounted on its gunner position. Alternatively, nothing can be mounted to make room for more passengers.

AIE-486H HMG: +6 to hit, range 70/250 ft., one target. Hit: 8 (2d8) piercing damage. The 7.62mm machine gun has the burst fire (10) and reload (200 shots) properties. An M12 LRV comes with 2,200 rounds of 7.62mm ammunition.

M68 Gauss Cannon: Ranged Weapon Attack: +6 to hit, range 1,000/2,000 ft., one target. Hit: 15 (5d6) lightning damage. This mounted weapon fires 25x130mm rounds, and must reload after every shot as an action. It deals double damage against objects. An M68 comes with 50 rounds of ammunition.

SPNKR Rocket Launcher: Ranged Weapon Attack: +6 to hit, range 60/150 ft., one target. Hit: 16 (3d8) fire damage. This mounted weapon fires 102mm shaped rockets, and must reload after every other shot as an action. Attack rolls have advantage against vehicles and creatures that are Large or larger. Each attack hits all creatures within 15ft of the target. For every 5ft these “secondary targets” are away from the initial target, they take one less damage die. An SPNKR comes with 50 rounds of ammunition.
