Medium humanoid (Akitsuki), lawful evil Armor Class 13 (Natural Armor)
Saving Throws Wis +4, Cha +6 Chakra. Kankitsu has 14 chakra points which he can expend. All chakra points are regained at the end of a long rest. Evasion. When Kankitsu is targeted by an area effect that lets him make a Dexterity saving throw to take only half damage, such as fireball, he instead takes no damage if he succeeds on the saving throw, and only half damage if he fails the save. Ninja Speed. Kankitsu can take the dash, dodge, and disengage actions as a bonus action for 2 chakra. Red Chakra. Some of Kankitsu's features grant him "red chakra". If his own chakra is less than his red chakra, he must attempt a DC 14 Wisdom saving throw at the end of each of his turns. On a failure, he is forced to activate Initial Release and is controlled by Sōma. This ends if he becomes unconscious, or if Sōma chooses to do so willingly. These special "red" chakra are counted separately from his normal chakra. He can use this chakra on one Jutsu or spread them across multiple, but he can not spend these points and his own normal chakra points on the same jutsu. This chakra can extend above his chakra point maximum, and is lost at the end of a short rest. ACTIONSMultiattack. Kankitsu can make 2 unarmed strikes or Memory Wiping Blasts. Unarmed Strike. Melee Weapon Attack: +3 to hit, reach 5 ft., one target. Hit: 5 (2d4) bludgeoning damage. Hidden Chakra. When Kankitsu has less than half his maximum chakra, he gains 7 red chakra. He may use this once, regaining all uses at the end of a long rest. Initial Release. As a bonus action, Kankitsu enters Initial Release. This reveals him as a Jinchūriki to anyone that can see him, and he gains the following benefits:
Memory Wiping Blast (6 Chakra). One creature within 20 ft. must attempt a DC 17 Dexterity saving throw. On a failure, their Intelligence score decreases by 1 as a portion of their memories are erased. If this reduces their Intelligence score to 0, the creature dies instantly. A creature regains 1 point of their Intelligence score at the end of a long rest. Memory Wiping Aura (12 Chakra). Every creature within 10 ft. of Kankitsu must attempt a DC 17 Dexterity saving throw. On a failure, their Intelligence score decreases by 1 as a portion of their memories are erased. If this reduces their Intelligence score to 0, the creature dies instantly. A creature regains 1 point of their Intelligence score at the end of a long rest.

Kankitsu is a member of royalty from Daidai Village, an important civilian village in the Land of Fire. At the age of 20, when the mark of Soma appeared on his right palm, he was betrothed to his childhood friend Remon Yoimura in order to complete the ritual to seal it away for another 100 years, though the two did love each other. However, on his way to plan the wedding, he was lured to Soma's cave, where the demon took control of him, turning the otherwise cheerful, genuine man cynical and controlling. As ritual to seal Soma began, rather than cutting its horns, he destroyed the seal itself, allowing it to manifest in the physical world again and removing itself from him. However, Boruto and Konohamaru were able to hold it back, sealing it inside Remon, removing the need for the 100 year ritual, but erasing all of her memories in the process. In atonement, Kankitsu dedicated himself to helping her regain her memories. |
