Secretly developed by the Shirogane Clan, a small puppet-wielding clan on the border of the Land of Wind and Land of Fire, puppet walkers are the answer to their clan's weakness. In a concept similar to Puppet Performance: Skillful Achievement with a Human Body, infusing a crucial fragment of a living person's chakra network into a puppet gives it a fragment of their innate ability to use a certain chakra nature. However, without this tenketsu, typically found within the heart or brain, a human has a 100% mortality rate within the next 2 hours. Utilizing an army of elemental puppets, mostly sourced from captured Leaf citizens from other border towns, they were able to survive the first two Shinobi World Wars before the Second Kazekage discovered their treachery, outlawing the creation of elemental puppets and ordering all puppetmasters who continued their experiments to be labeled Rogue Nin. |
