Cube of Confusion

Hit Points: 9,999
Damage immunities: poison, psychic, slashing, piercing, fire, water,
Cost: One of each Calibri Card

The Cube of Confusion was created by the eccentric chronomancer Calibri in conjuncture with his legendary Calibri Cards. In ages past it was designed to be a test of mental will, giving its subjects maniacal tests and optical illusions to overcome. Those who succeeded were treated as living gods, and the cube was often used to determine rulers. Those who failed were driven insane and their essence was "consumed" by the cube. Even the ones who escaped the cube soon lost their sanity, seeing the world as an illusion and a false reality, living in despair or dying of insanity. However, it is said that the cube was also a gateway to other worlds. It is believed that those who entered the cube actually saw all of reality, but the images would shatter their minds. The cube was often consulted in times of need, but only under the most extreme circumstances.

The Cube of Confusion is a 100 ft. cube made of strange metal. It weighs 1000000 pounds.

Psychic Scream: Ranged Weapon Attack: +12 to hit, range 8,000 ft., one target. Hit: 100 (5d20+49) psychic damage. The cube will only use this attack on the creature that hit it first.

The Test: If a creature so chooses, they may enter the Cube of Confusion. For every minute they are in the Cube, they must make a DC 18 Constitution saving throw. On a success, they may increase either their Intelligence or Wisdom score by 1. On a failure, they take 7 (2d6) psychic damage. After five successes, roll 1z12; the creature exits the cube and cannot enter again until the zodiac date in-game is equivalent to that rolled. After five failures, roll 1z12; the creature is ejected from the cube, suffers from indefinite madness until the zodiac date in-game is equivalent to that rolled on the z12, and cannot enter again until they have stopped suffering from madness. In either case, if the zodiac sign rolled is the current zodiac date in-game, the creature must wait until the same date next year to enter the cube.
