Large giant (lynel), chaotic evil Armor Class 15 (natural armor)
Saving Throws Str +7, Dex +5 Innate Spellcasting. The lynel can innately cast power beam and scorching ray at will, requiring no material components. Its innate spellcasting ability is Charisma (+6 to hit with spell attacks). ACTIONSMultiattack. The lynel makes three melee weapon attacks, or two ranged weapon attacks. Lynel Spear. Melee or Ranged Weapon Attack: +7 to hit, reach 10 ft. or range 20/60 ft., one target. Hit: 13 (2d8 + 4) piercing damage, or 15 (2d10 + 4) piercing damage if used with two hands to make a melee attack. Lynel Bow. Ranged Weapon Attack: +5 to hit, range 80/320 ft., one target. Hit: 15 (2d12 + 2) piercing damage. Fire Breath (Recharge 5-6). The lynel exhales fire in a 30-foot cone. Each creature in that area must make a DC 16 Dexterity saving throw, taking 26 (8d6) fire damage on a failed save, or half as much damage on a successful one.

Variant: Sword and Shield
This variant of orange lynel wields a shield and longsword in lieu of a spear and bow. Its AC increases to 17. It loses the Lynel Spear and Lynel Bow actions, which are replaced with the following:
Longsword. Melee Weapon Attack +7 to hit, reach 5 ft., one target. Hit: 13 (2d8 + 4) slashing damage, or 15 (2d10 + 4) slashing damage if used with two hands.
