Chrono-Scion[edit]
Hey, I love your enthusiasm to add to the 5e Hyrule campaign setting with your new Chrono subclass for Scion! However, it had a few critical issues that made me have to go and undo it. If you do want to keep your subclass around, changes or not, I'd recommend making it on Chrono Scion (5e Subclass). Anyway, here's my issues with the Subclass in its current state:
- Features at incorrect levels. Scion subclasses have features at 1st, 3rd, 8th, 11th, 15th, and 20th level. Your subclass does not fully adhere to this structure, so some features would need to be moved around, added, changed, or removed.
- Formatting. Your Scion subclass lacks base elements and presentation that all other Scion subclasses have. This includes proper separation, a Table, pictures, etc.
- Spell List. Your Scion subclass has a very small spell list, and its in the wrong spot. This is a serious issue, as all Scion subclasses are defined by their spell list.
- Wording. Your Scion subclass is very poorly written, with random capitalizations, strange wording, lack of links, and other issues that generally make it very hard to play your subclass.
- Abilities in general. Your Scion subclass is very underpowered when compared to other subclasses when it comes to abilities in general, however it is extremely overpowered when it comes to some other abilities. Serious steps would need to be taken to get this subclass into a good, balanced state.
- Flavor. All Scions gain their power from an entity they have made a deal with (similarly to a warlock). This isn't reflected in your subclass, which is a serious problem when it comes to maintaining the flavor of scion. Perhaps research time-based entities in the legend of zelda, or change this subclass to be for Researcher?
I'm sorry I've had to be so blunt with you, I really do think this subclass could be adapted and fit well within the Zelda Campaign setting, its just that its not usable in its current state. All recommendations here are my opinion, but I do think that if you could fully address all of these issues (or at least most of them), this could be a good addition. --Woahluigi (talk) 14:12, 4 November 2024 (MST)
