Jeweled Choker (5e Equipment)[edit]

Can you please explain why you removed the templates from this page? — Geodude Chatmod.png (talk | contribs | email)‎‎ . . 23:31, 23 February 2019 (MST)

Reverting Changes[edit]

Could you please explain why you removed the "Adult theme" templates from this page: Ring of Gender Swapping (5e Equipment) ? My explanation for adding them was to bring them in line with this spell, who had already the template. Since they too change the sex of a creature, and involuntarily at that, i thought it fit.

And on this one: Mask of Indeterminate Faces (5e Equipment) ? I understand if you want to have the item strong negative effects, but this seemed very punishing to me, since the item can be acquired at level 11 and one has to live with its effects until level 17, since this is the first time you are guaranteed to get the wish spell. --Doctor Dee (talk) 00:15, 24 February 2019 (MST)

Eh, evil DM could place this as low as first level treasure. PCs can also pool resources to find a caster able to cast the spells. Not justifying the mask, just stating things. ~ BigShotFancyMan (talk) 07:05, 25 February 2019 (MST)
I think neither an evil DM nor a good DM should be assumed when designing items, while the guidelines provide some sort of guidance. And there is no guarantee that a party will find treasure or a caster. Therefore, we can't assume there are resources to pool. I mean, there isn't a lot i would contest if the item were of legendary quality. (Only that in the SRD is no magic item, not even a cursed one, that is as hard to reverse as the mask, except the deck of many things and artifacts, which derivatives from a lot of other stuff too.) --Doctor Dee (talk) 07:34, 25 February 2019 (MST)
My point is, there's a lot of hypotheticals being used. We can go in circles over things to the point there's no sense creating magic items because there is no guarantee that a party will find treasure.
I think comparing this to SRD items like you did at the end is the best course to follow. ~ BigShotFancyMan (talk) 07:58, 25 February 2019 (MST)

Hello There![edit]

We seem both to be working on the cursed item section too. While the circumstances of our meeting seem unfortunate, i still hope we can work together and have fruitful cooperation on this section in the future. --Doctor Dee (talk) 00:15, 24 February 2019 (MST)

Hi![edit]

I've been admiring your Alchemical Animmorpher for a time now, and was wondering if you'd be willing to make a version for me that adjusts it to work with my symbiotes, find able in the 5e artifacts tab, has the symbiotic label, i am adding more symbiotes as they are made, and I think it could be fun to have a machine to expand on the creatures, thank you!
