Why[edit]
Why are you removing improving, reviewing, and removing templates from pages that still warrant their inclusion? Androids (DBZ) (5e Race) still isn't formatted or categorized properly, Boxer (5e Class) still has empty levels and other issues, etc. - Guy (talk) 22:29, 27 April 2017 (UTC)
- Ok so the things I changed just got undone so im wondering why. the first 3 harmony attacks all cost the same when they do different damage shouldn't they cost differently. Then why do you get harmony point at level 1 and 2 if you dont get the feat till level 3 and its optional. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by Spiceseller115 (talk • contribs) . Why do you delete others' comments instead of responding to them, or otherwise acting on them responsibly? - Guy (talk) 13:50, 28 April 2017 (UTC)
- Removing a message on your own talk page is considered acknowledgement of that message. Marasmusine (talk) 15:25, 28 April 2017 (UTC)
Stop Removing Templates[edit]
Please stop removing templates on pages. Your reasons have been unjustified, and if you continue like you have been you will be banned. --Green Dragon (talk) 18:59, 14 May 2017 (UTC)
- The reasons I have for removing them off my own additions are just. As something I added was deleted even though it was a work in progress. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by Justsomedndplayers (talk • contribs) . Please sign your posts.
- If the page was a work in progress, it should have had a WIP or stub template on it. If this was a recent deletion, the admins may be able to recover it. Also, please sign your posts. It's not hard; SirSprinkles told you how in the last paragraph of the welcome message. --Geodude671 (talk) 03:17, 15 May 2017 (UTC)
- If an Admin can undo the deletion of the champion fighter, and add the WIP tag, i will continue to work on it. i want it to go a different direction than gladiator, as that was the template i kept seeing added, even though it was in the incomplete, and mentioned work in progress. at the time (didnt know before how to add that specific template.
- Can you explain why you feel it is significantly different than gladiator? It seems you were trying to go in the direction of a modern boxer or MMA fighter; they fight to entertain a crowd, which sounds pretty gladiatorial to me. --Geodude671 (talk) 07:06, 15 May 2017 (UTC)
- The direction is not suppose to work like gladiator, i am trying to take it differently, Gladiators, where a mixture of prisoners, war criminals, some athletes, and some Soldiers. mixing in animals to fight to the death (more often than not) for the combatant to earn their freedom, rank, settle a score, or whatever.. while they are similar, it was not offering some of the details i wanted it to have for a background, so i created champion fighter, to contain those benefits. Champion fighter is meant for the Non-lethal professional combat. focused on the sport, betting, earnings, and building up potential rivals in long run games where the champion fighter can go to clubs, rings, and such to fight. gain a heavy profit, but also leave alive. the favored opponents i was adding was to give a bit of depth, not really an advantage per say, more of flavor text. also giving out a different array of proficiency's,tools and equipment they have access to. the background's Flavor Feature was meant to push out their social status. if they where a clean fighter, then they would be a role model, if they where a dirty fighter then they are resented, and possibly feared.. Also the personality traits, ideals, bonds, and flaws where gonna be different in what i was trying to do coming up with some more info as i went into it. couldn't continue working on it cause it was deleted. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by Justsomedndplayers (talk • contribs) . I have restored the page Champion Fighter (5e Background) so we can take a look. Since the conversation is here, I'll mention here my reasons for adding the deletion proposal:
- A background should explain what the PC was doing before they became an adventurer. There's a (pretty famous) class called Fighter, so calling your background "champion fighter" sounds like your character is already an accomplished Fighter, instead of someone just starting out as one.
- 2000 gp starting cash.
- I don't know what's going off with the "favored opponents" table. Do champion fighters only fight people with PC character classes?
- How do they know exotic languages? Have they traveled to different planes of existence?
- The spelling and grammar was a bit grating, but to be fair that's something that we can improve collaboratively.
I would also like to add that it's not quite fair to demand that people at the WIP template, as new users aren't necessarily aware of it. I also placed the deletion proposal on the same day that the page was created. However, I did wait a full two weeks for improvements to be made to the page, but Justsomedndplayers didn't add anything new to it (a description, for example, might have helped). Marasmusine (talk) 09:23, 15 May 2017 (UTC)
- Not sapose to be restricted to the class, it could be they are anything from a small local champion, to national, international ect. the national and international would of given another language. spending so much time around a new area, you pick up some things.
- gold wasnt sapose to be 2000, it was sapose to be 200. they can fight PC's but mainly your fighting other classes, whether they are standard or non standard.
- Working on it, thanks for restoring. however i got a bit busy with life and had to step away from the page for a while, i will add the Work in Progess template, now that i know what it is. so now im gonna be gradually working on it, adding the information. Thanks for its Restoration. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by Justsomedndplayers (talk • contribs) . Please sign your posts.
- I did not give you the warning for nothing. Since you have continued to break the policies, I gave you a very light ban of 1 week. After this week, you have time to improve the background you started so it does not get deleted. Just be certain to not start an edit war ever again. --Green Dragon (talk) 09:56, 15 May 2017 (UTC)
Copyright Infringement[edit]
Are you the original creator of the the Elnade race on that external site? It's my understanding that the text is released under the CC BY-SA 3.0 and that you did not uphold the conditions of that license. I will have to confer with Green Dragon to see if we allow content to be released on here under the CC BY-SA 3.0 (to my last knowledge, we do, but I have to make sure). Can you prove that you are not otherwise violating copyright? I know this might sound silly and inconvenient, but we have to uphold the law or else the website could get in trouble :(--GamerAim (talk) 19:43, 28 May 2017 (UTC)
- Long story short, you're gonna need to remake the page yourself with Template:Cc-by-3.0 on it. I can't restore it due to legal reasons. I'm sorry about this, and I wish it were any other way, but I'm really not allowed to restore any of it myself :/ I did leave the talk page up, since it doesn't seem to violate any copyright and might help in recreating it.--GamerAim (talk) 23:00, 28 May 2017 (UTC)
- To my Current Knowledge their was no copyright on the elnade race. however if it makes it ok, can i reference the creator. or mark this as my Varient. for its not 100% the same. didnt know trying to transfer a race or something from 3.5 to 5e with edits is considered copyright. so i will mark my elnade version as a Varient.—The preceding unsigned comment was added by Justsomedndplayers (talk • contribs) . - So, GD says it's actually okay (apparently it was stolen from here), and he restored the race, so sorry about that. The issue was that you copied the flavor text from that page, which is under copyright by default, and it had a particular license that had to be followed, and it wasn't, so I deleted it to avoid possible infringement. Please forgive me <3--GamerAim (talk) 12:30, 29 May 2017 (UTC)
Curious[edit]
Why have you deleted so much conversation? There is (was) useful discussion here but aside from personal preference of "cleaning up", why remove all the stuff? BigShotFancyMan (talk) 18:52, 15 October 2017 (MDT)
- Because the discussion made him look bad. If you're going to remove conversation from your talk page you should throw it into an archive. — Geodude671 (talk | contribs | email) . . 19:03, 15 October 2017 (MDT)
- I had the same idea but thought I'd try to hear the person out :p Geodude is right though, most people archive conversations vs outright delete them. BigShotFancyMan (talk) 20:06, 15 October 2017 (MDT)

- Thanks Geodude671 now i know how to archive stuff--Justsomedndplayers (talk) 22:57, 18 October 2017 (MDT)
- I understand you and JSDP do not get along, but please do try to be respectful on his talk page and not post such inflammatory statements as "because the discussion made him look bad." Posting things like that on the talk page of the person you're talking about is not going to improve future interactions :( --GamerAim (talk) 07:44, 16 October 2017 (MDT)
- My comment wasn't intended to be inflammatory and I apologize if it was construed that way. I simply meant that his removal of conversation from his talk page could be seen as an attempt to cover up evidence of bad behavior, since many of these comments accuse him of bad behavior. — Geodude671 (talk | contribs | email) . . 10:22, 16 October 2017 (MDT)
