A game set includes the items you need to play a well-known recreational game. Proficiency with a game set adds your proficiency bonus to ability checks made to play the game, to recall lore in relation to the game, and to detect cheating. Some games, like death dice, are decided only by luck and thus proficiency with them doesn't increase your chance of winning. Each set requires a separate proficiency.
