Board Battle. Common tool (game set), 2 gp. This game includes a foldable wooden board with a grid of eight-by-eight squares, and a pouch of 24 distinct tokens traditionally carved from wood. Two to four players take turns selecting tokens to create a unique team, and then place them on the grid. Each player then takes a turn moving one token to potentially attack another token or get in a more advantageous position. A full game typically has 2 to 4 players, lasts an hour, and is decided with a Intelligence (board battle) contest. In a game with 3 or more players, multiple players can team up against a shared foe to force that foe to take disadvantage on their Intelligence check (even if this is an overtly discussed strategy).
