User:Guy/Domains
From D&D Wiki
- Each domain on this page is a compact spell list with a strong theme or identity. They are built assuming a character might have access to several.
- When you become for example a sorcerer, you would pick two or three domains which together serve as your spell list for that class. No class has access to all domains; sorcerers surely can't have the heal domain as an option, for example.
- Subclasses might provide specific domains in addition to these, such as the dragon domain for a "draconic sorcerer."
- Classes might have certain domains built in. A druid might always have access to the forest domain, but be able to pick one or two domains in addition to this one.
- "Half-casters" like paladin or ranger might only have access to one or two domains.
- Ideally each domain has 3-6 spells for each level, with the exception of 1-point spells (which are optional) and spells above 5p (which ideally have 2-3 for each level). If I'm being real it's unlikely I'll ever finish this.
There is a domain to represent most creature types, most damage types, most terrain types, and most tools. There are a few more domains in addition to these. This selection of domains is very subject to change. Domains are designed assuming more can be added.
