Another one? Really?[edit]
Why do we need this many summoner pages? Even if it is a genuine improvement, can't we just improve the pre-existing pages? --SwankyPants (talk) 23:02, 14 November 2020 (MST)

I third that notion. Glass (talk) 08:46, 15 November 2020 (MST)
Fourthed... Quaded? Eh, I also agree. But I'd also like to point out that the way Eternal Rage is written, you can never be defeated, since neither can drop below 1 Hit Point so long as either is at at least 1 Hit Point. -Poni Gril Wait, I just noticed they're all like this. Wha happun?-Poni Gril
- Oversight, shadowbuffs, who knows. I’m probably just gonna put this up for deletion(again). If you wanna fix it, I’d stick to anything below the 3rd variant. The allowance to exist of those others may be held in question, at a later date. Good eye, anyways. --SwankyPants (talk) 08:21, 13 May 2021 (MDT)
As far as i can see when searching up summoner for dnd wiki is brings up maybe 4 pages ( this one too ) for the summoner class this goes off of. Is anything stopping the other 3 from being deleted and not this one? -CrystalWolf
- Because this is the newest version. Those older versions may or may not have a better reason to be around, but this one very obviously doesn't. As the tag said, no major changes have been made, and nothing stopped anyone from just changing/fixing the original. Pretty simple, I thought. --SwankyPants (talk) 09:16, 13 May 2021 (MDT)
I honestly love this class, and have only played this one so far for my groups homebrew. I would very much appreciate this class not going away. Im still new to dnd and the wiki itself, if this gets deleted is there anyway to save it so i have a reference to go off of for other characters i may make?- Crystalwolf
- If you like this class, then I can guarantee you'll probably like the Summoner (5e Class), since they're basically the same thing. If for some unknown reason, you actually really need this page around for a good reason, then either copy it down somewhere else, or move it to your userpage. As it stands, I don't see it getting past deletion scott-free. --SwankyPants (talk) 09:23, 13 May 2021 (MDT)
How do i move the whole page to my page? Ive just checked out the other summoner class you linked and i dont like a few things from there. Im very sorry for not knowing how to move stuff and keep asking noobie stuff.- CrystalWolf
- Go to the page tab, hit move, click the drop down menu that says main, click user, type in User:CrystalWolf(if you want it to be your whole page, what people see when they click on your name) or User:CrystalWolf/Summoner, 10th Variant (5e Class)(this makes it a subpage, and not what people see immediately). Since, I’m here, might I ask what problems you have with it? You could do something about it, in theory. --SwankyPants (talk) 09:34, 13 May 2021 (MDT)
Im a fan of this summoner class cause im level 15 at the moment in one group, which if i look at the other summoner page you linked me it does not have Bond of the Edolist up to level 20 like this one does. And i have found that being a pure spell caster with my beefy summon has been very enjoyable so far. I even created a account here so i could stop the very first time i saw this page try to be deleted. Another reason i perfer this one over to the other one is the wide selection of customizable options i get to pick for my summon. I did not fancy the brood mother or fuse like subclasses the summoner offered, but enjoyed picking a pure spell caster like summon or a very tanky hard hitting summon. I have tried other classes ( only been playing roughly 2 years of dnd so very new still ) but i always come back to just this one after other classes didnt work out. I will try and move the page as you instructed, and thank you for your help ^.^ -- CrystalWolf
- Listen, I'm gonna explain what I meant when I said "you could do something about it". You can make the missing features for Edolist. You can add more options. Nothing is stopping you. Hell, you can port the features from here onto the original if they fit. A general motto of the wiki is to be bold. If you see a problem, don't just make a new page, fix the problem. I'm a bit sad it's gonna be this way, but that's how it is. Good luck with your future endeavors. --SwankyPants (talk) 09:54, 13 May 2021 (MDT)
