Weapon (Greatsword), artifact (Requires attunement by a Bard, Seer, Sorcerer, or Wizard) This weapon, invented hundreds of years before his birth by the seer Teresa Rose Maddox, was purpose-built to be the perfect weapon for Shawn Spellblade. It has served him for most of his adventures, and is his primary weapon of choice, even when given better options.
Random Properties. The Teresa's Thorn has the following random properties:
  • 1 minor beneficial property
  • 1 major beneficial property
  • 0 minor detrimental properties
  • 0 major detrimental properties

;A Seer's Gift: You can add your proficiency bonus to attack rolls with this greatsword, even if you would otherwise not be proficient with greatswords. When you finish a long rest while attuned to this weapon, it's random beneficial properties are rolled for again, causing you to lose your current beneficial properties for new ones. Teresa Rose Maddox can instead choose the weapon's random beneficial properties.
Big Blade
If you are attuned to this blade and are medium size or smaller, you can use your reaction when you are subjected to a Dexterity saving throw to reduce damage to take half damage on a failed save and no damage on a successful save, interposing the blade between yourself and the source of the effect.
Fake Spellblade
When you take the attack action with this greatsword, you can cast a spell that deals fire damage as a bonus action. The spell must have a casting time of 1 action or 1 bonus action and when cast this way the spell benefits from the extra damage and vulnerability of the Fire And Chains Feature.
Feathered Weapon
While you are attuned to this greatsword, you have a +3 bonus to your attack and damage rolls with it, and it has the finesse and reach properties for you but lacks the heavy property. Features and effects that require using a weapon with the Finesse property (Such as a Rogue's Sneak Attack) can't be used with this weapon by this enchantment alone. The blade is virtually weightless to its attuned user, allowing them to ignore the effects that drag or momentum would have on swinging such a large and heavy blade. Creatures of any size can wield it normally without any penalty while attuned to it, even if they otherwise couldn't. The blade weighs 2,000 lbs to any creature not attuned to it, including targets of its attacks. It deals an additional 2d4 bludgeoning damage to any target it hits with an attack.
Fire And Chains
This greatsword deals an additional 1d4 fire damage to any target it hits with an attack. Fiends and Undead are vulnerable to damage from this weapon, even if they would otherwise be resistant or immune to it. As a bonus action on your turn, you can cause the blade to separate into 5 distinct pieces, connected by a chain at the blade's core. When you do so, you can make one attack against a creature or object that isn't being worn or carried within 30 feet of you. If the attack hits, you can pull yourself to an unoccupied space within 5 feet of the target as if using a grappling hook, or you can force the target to make a DC 19 Strength saving throw. On a fail, the target is pulled to an unoccupied space within 5 feet of you if it isn't nailed down. A creature or object that is destroyed, killed or knocked unconscious by the damage dealt with the attack automatically fails the saving throw, and is ripped out of the place it is nailed to if it is nailed down.
Powered Weapon
The blade requires a True Wand to function, which is placed inside the hollowed-out handle through the pommel, which screws off like a cap. While the blade isn't powered by a True Wand, none of its properties function, except its Feathered Weapon property. While powered, this weapon also acts as a True Wand for its wielder, including being an Arcane Focus.
Thorns
When you take damage while attuned to this greatsword, you can use your reaction to make an opportunity attack against the original attacker.
Destroying the Teresa's Thorn. The greatsword is an object with 20 AC, 100 hit points (And 100 maximum hit points), and 10 Strength, 0 Dexterity (Automatically fails Dexterity saving throws), and 20 Constitution. It has immunity to all damage except force damage. If the blade is destroyed normally, it shatters into 17 large chunks that land within 30 feet of the blade. However, the blade doesn't lose its magic and can still be re-forged with all the original pieces in any way, completely restoring the blade when this occurs. When destroyed this way, the True Wand that powers it is also destroyed, and a new True Wand must replace it. If Teresa Rose Maddox's soul is destroyed, the weapon loses its immunity to other damage types, and loses its magic forever when destroyed.
