Adventuring Curse. Shawn is under the effects of The Adventuring Curse.

Bardic Inspiration. Shawn can use a bonus action on his turn to give one creature other than himself within 60 feet of him that can hear him one d6 Bardic Inspiration die. Once within 10 minutes of receiving the die, that creature can roll the die and add the number rolled to one ability check, attack roll, or saving throw that it just made. The creature can wait until after it rolls the die for the ability check, attack roll, or saving throw, but before the DM says whether or not it succeeds or fails before deciding to use the Bardic Inspiration die. Once it is rolled, it is lost. A creature can have only one Bardic Inspiration die at a time. Shawn can use this feature a number of times equal to his Charisma modifier (5). He regains all expended uses when he finishes a long rest.

Bardic Proficiencies. Shawn is proficient in Light Armor, Lutes, Lyres, Violins, the Dragonchess Set, Simple Weapons, Hand Crossbows, Longswords, Rapiers, and Shortswords.

Brief Recovery. Shawn can recover one 1st-level spellslot when he finishes a short rest. Once he does so once, he cannot do so again until he finishes a long rest.

Resilience. Shawn has proficiency in Constitution saving throws.

Draconic Toughness. Shawn has an additional 57 hit points, regardless of whether using the average hit points (Included in the above hit point maximum) or rolling for his hit points. Additionally, Shawn's base AC is 13 + his Dexterity modifier when not wearing armor.

Draconic Bloodline. Shawn has all the benefits of the Draconic Bloodline Sorcerer subclass, except the Draconic Presence feature. The extra hit points and unarmored AC are included in the Draconic Toughness feature. His Dragon Ancestor is Purple, which uses the Lightning damage type (If using UA for the Elemental Spell metamagic, otherwise use Fire).

Healing Hands. Shawn can use his action to touch a creature and cause it to regain 20 hit points. Once he has done so once, he can't do so again until he finishes a long rest.

Immutable Soul. Besides with The Adventuring Curse, Shawn's personality and alignment can't be altered in any way.

Powerhouse Spellcaster. Shawn can use the War Caster feat, the Boon of High Magic, Boon of Magical Secrets, and the Boon of Spell Recall. Shawn should only use the Boon of Spell Recall to cast a 9th-level spell except in very specific circumstances wherein this would be not useful, effectively giving him three 9th-level spellslots. The additional spells of the Boon of Magical Secrets are two 9th-level spells included on the Sorcerer spell list.

School of Divination. Shawn can use the Divination Savant and Portent features of the School of Divination Wizard subclass.

Wing Burst. Shawn can spend 3 Sorcery Points to unleash his Protector Aasimar wings, his Draconic Bloodline wings, and any other sets of wings he can manifest during the same action, combining all of their flying speeds together to determine his flying speed (60 ft. without additional sets of wings). When he does so, he has the effects of the Protector Aasimar's Radiant Soul, including its extra damage.

Spellcasting. Shawn is a 20th-level spellcaster. He has 1 level in Bard, 2 levels in Wizard, and 17 levels in Sorcerer. Shawn has 17 Sorcery Points and can use the Elemental Spell (From UA, use Quickened Spell if not using UA), Empowered Spell, Subtle Spell, and Twinned Spell metamagic options. Shawn can cast the following Bard spells:

Cantrips (at will): light (from being an Aasimar), mage hand, prestidigitation
1st level (4 slots): detect magic, feather fall, heroism, identify

Additionally, Shawn can prepare the following Wizard spells using his spellbook:

Cantrips (at will): control flames, mold earth, shape water
1st level (4 slots): comprehend languages, expeditious retreat, find familiar, jump, shield, tensers floating disk, magic missile, unseen servant, false blade

Finally, Shawn can cast the following Sorcerer spells:

Cantrips (at will): chill touch, fire bolt, green-flame blade, gust, ray of frost, shocking grasp
1st level (4 slots): chaos bolt
2nd level (3 slots): dragon's breath, gust of wind
3rd level (3 slots): counterspell, fireball, haste
4th level (3 slots): greater invisibility, polymorph
5th level (3 slots): cone of cold
6th level (2 slots): investiture of flame, move earth
7th level (2 slots): crown of stars
8th level (1 slot): earthquake
9th level (2 slots): foresight, invulnerability, meteor swarm, wish

ACTIONS

Rapier. Melee Weapon Attack: +9 to hit, reach 5 ft., one target. Hit: 8 (1d8 + 3) piercing damage. Shawn will always use his Green-Flame Blade cantrip when he hits with a weapon that he can use it for if an appropriate target is in range for it.

Shawn Spellblade is a player character turned NPC. This is why his stat block is so complicated. I only built it here to be used with The Spellblade of Fire so it can be destroyed. It's worth noting that Shawn's Personality Traits, Ideals, Bonds, and Flaws are unaffected by using that Artifact, since he already shares most of those traits and is the destined wielder of the blade. He can be built as a PC for use if using the following rolled stats: 13 Strength, 16 Dexterity, 17 Constitution, 16 Intelligence, 15 Wisdom, and 14 Charisma. The stat increases from the Aasimar race give totals of 16 Wisdom and Charisma.

Shawn also uses the Inheritor background, with his Inheritance being The Spellblade of Fire. This doesn't mean he can manifest it when he chooses however, as unless if he's already earned the blade, he cannot. At some point, Shawn does earn the blade, but doesn't use it outside of the battle he needed it most in, choosing not to end any curses he is currently under when he does so. If this has occurred, Shawn will be Neutral Good, but the blade may then manifest before any creature that is worthy of it, unless Shawn calls it back to his side. Shawn is capable of ending any attunement another creature has to his blade, and can make it manifest before him even if it is currently on a different plane of existence. Why he doesn't use the blade very often, even in potentially deadly situations, is a mystery to all but him. The following statements are true for Shawn, as a result of his Inheritance Background:

"If someone is in trouble, I'm always ready to help."
"Tyrants must not be allowed to oppress the people."
"Nothing and no one can steer me away from my higher calling." -Notably, while this is normally an empowering statement, Shawn sees it as much more bittersweet.
"I protect those who cannot protect themselves."
"I have trouble trusting in my allies." -Shawn was raised to have to be perfect, and tends to feel singularly responsible when something bad happens. As a result, Shawn may try to resolve conflicts by himself, leaving his allies to do so.

Shawn may have additional personality traits, including most or all of the personality traits, ideals, and flaws of The Spellblade of Fire.

Shawn canonically invented the false blade spell. If not allowing homebrew spells, its inclusion here can be easily ignored, since he can't prepare many Wizard spells anyway. Otherwise, he always has this spell prepared, as he usually doesn't seek to kill those he must fight. That is of course unless they're shown to be monsters that lack sentience or are simply so deadly and dangerous that he can't keep the spell active when fighting them (It requires concentration, so if he is forced to drop concentration on the spell once he generally won't use it again on that opponent).

Finally, Shawn often carries magic weapons gifted to him by his allies, and has allies he may fight with. Because of this, his CR (The CR of the encounter that is) may vary wildly. At any given time, he may have Teresa's Thorn, The Spellblade of Fire, or another powerful weapon helping him fight. These complications have allowed him to fight foes far above his actual capabilities, and that has given him a significant amount of combat experience (and problem solving experience in general) for someone so young. Shawn, in the base stat block above, is about 12 years old. Have fun with that.
