Talk:Coin Cannon (5e Equipment)
From D&D Wiki
- If this can be crafted, it still needs a gp value to tell everyone how long it takes to craft and what materials are needed.
- "The coin cannon may be fired up to six times (at one target) per action, even though you only need to make one Dex check per action." - Wha?
- "However, the Recoiling property gives a -2 Dex penalty after each shot," - Huh?
- "meaning that you must beat the target's AC by at least 3 to shoot it six times, otherwise you may only shoot the target once. " - Eh? Marasmusine (talk) 19:38, 14 June 2017 (UTC)
A: I fixed all that (I think). Calibri (talk) 19:38, 14 June 2017 (UTC)
How much damage does it actually do? If it uses normal currency, the damage amounts could easily be listed on this page. Also, if this is a ridiculously rare artifact, shouldn't it be listed as a wondrous item, magic weapon, or artifact instead of a simple martial weapon? Finally, what does the Very Fast weapon property actually do? - Guy (talk) 16:55, 17 June 2017 (UTC)
- "Coin Cannon is very fast, meaning that a player may take six actions with the Coin Cannon." O_o
- Might I suggest giving it the Burst property instead. Marasmusine (talk) 17:12, 17 June 2017 (UTC)
- Would reducing the amount of damage the coins to do copper(1d4+2), silver(1d6+3), gold(1d8+4), and platinum(1d10+5), changing the gun to fire two rounds with an action using short burst, giving the weapon a reload (10 shots), and some sort of range ?/?, work for balancing the coin cannon? Any of these values could be tweaked to better balance the coin cannon, but using them would allow for a reader better understand what the Coin Cannon does. --Blobby383b (talk) 14:51, 3 July 2017 (MDT)
