100th Weapon![edit]
Whoo! I added the 100th Weapon for this page! --Watsyurname529 09:35, 27 October 2007 (MDT)

Sorting this mess?[edit]
Is there any chance that this could be sorted? I mean differant weapons put into differant catagories. Like Melee and Missle and the like. It seems like a large task, I dont know who would want to do it anyways.--Mander 19:51, 16 December 2007 (MST)
- Yes exactly like that, thanks for showing that to me.--Mander 20:35, 16 December 2007 (MST)
- Here is a question I have been pondering for a while... Should we make that the standard and make this page linked to like that one is now? --Green Dragon 21:20, 16 December 2007 (MST)
- Been thinking about that. The obvious drawback is that the current standard has all weapons. The weapons have to be manually added to the other page. Been thinking about DPLing the other page, but I'm getting hung up over nonlethal weapons, double weapons, reach weapons, and ammunition. Need an

- Then again, on the flip side of the coin, a dpl has problems as well. If one is planning on making the dpl work via the template, then they all need to have the same template (which they do not). If one is planning on adding a dpl method to the page (old school anyone?) then that needs to be added, which is a lot of work. Also I am almost one hundred percent sure that some of them are formatted so bad that a major re-haul would be needed to make them work. I don't know, any direction we take from here will require a lot of work but I am in favor of a dpl if someone is willing to contribute a lot of time to make this work, or just cross-referencing the two lists if no one really wants to put hours into this... Either way though, I feel that this page should be replaced with Weapon Descriptions. --Green Dragon 22:01, 16 December 2007 (MST)
- JFC, I just spent an hour on the new tables, only to find that Weapon Descriptions does it better. On the plus side, I can steal the better one for OGC:Mundane Weapons >:D Anyway, can we just do like GD said 9 years ago and replace this page with Weapon Descriptions, but keep the DPLs for pages that need work? I can maybe try making a DPL that finds pages with incorrect/conflicting categories too, and list those at the bottom.--GamerAim (talk) 08:45, 7 December 2016 (MST)
- I should note that my tables cross-reference categories to not list incorrectly-categorized weapons (so no ranged weapons under melee, for example), and can merge that with the better-looking table. Although it occurs to me that some weapons are ranged and melee weapons >_> I think we'd net all the bad pages by cross-referencing immutable conflicts: weapon proficiencies and light vs two-handed weapons. Also, pages that don't use the template will at least be listed, so it isn't any worse than what we had.--GamerAim (talk) 08:55, 7 December 2016 (MST)
Revolvers[edit]
We now have 5 different variants of Revolver. To me, Six Shooter (3.5e Equipment) seems to be the best of the lot. It has a good description including how it might be included in a fantasy game, doesn't seem overpowered, and the mechanics are thorough. I'd like to keep this one and remove the rest. If no-one disagrees I'll make the appropriate changes. Marasmusine (talk) 01:15, 26 November 2013 (MST)
