Make a melee spell attack against a single creature in range. On a successful hit, the target takes 3d6 lightning damage, and 3d6 thunder damage. At the beginning of each of the target's turns, they and every creature within 5 feet of them take an additional 2d6 lightning damage and 2d6 thunder damage.
At Higher Levels. When you cast this spell using a spell slot of 5th level or higher the initial damage of the spell increases by 1d6 lightning damage and 1d6 thunder damage. If cast using a spell slot of 7th level or higher, the area of effect for the spell increases to 15 feet.
