This creature was created as part of the Player Equivalent CR variant rule using the Quincy class and Soldier background, and as such does not follow traditional CR.

Quincy Reiryoku. The Quincy has 20 Reiryoku which it can expend. All Reiryoku is regained at the end of a long rest.

Spiritual Awareness. While the Quincy has at least 1 Reiryoku, it can sense and interact with souls normally.

Reiatsu. The Quincy spend 1 Reiryoku at the beginning of its turn to release its Reiatsu until the beginning of its next turn, learning the direction from it of each creature within 30 feet and each of their proficiency bonuses. If a detected creature's proficiency bonus is 3 or lower, they take 20 bludgeoning damage.

Passive Blitzrutsche. While the Quincy's Reiatsu is released, it gains a +15 ft. bonus to its walking speed.

Archery. The Quincy has a +2 bonus to attack rolls with its bogensperling, silberne bogensperling, or ranged heilig bogen (included in attack).

Reiatsu Strikes. While the Quincy has at least 1 Reiryoku, its unarmed strikes count as magical and deal 13 (1d4 + 11) bludgeoning damage on a hit. Additionally, the Quincy can make an unarmed strike as a bonus action, and can make two unarmed strikes as a bonus action for 1 Reiryoku.

Evasion. When the Quincy is targeted by an area effect that lets it make a Dexterity saving throw to take only half damage, such as fireball, it instead takes no damage if it succeeds on the saving throw, and only half damage if it fails the save.

ACTIONS

Multiattack. The Quincy makes two attacks with its unarmed strike, bogensperling, sliberne bogensperling, or heilig bogen.

Unarmed Strike. Melee Weapon Attack: +11 to hit, reach 5 ft., one target. Hit: 6 bludgeoning damage.

Summon Bogensperling (1 Reiryoku). The Quincy the following for 4 additional Reiryoku, until it ends this effect as a bonus action or it falls unconscious:

Bogensperling. Ranged Weapon Attack: +13 to hit, range 80/320 ft., one target. Hit: 18 (1d6 + 15) piercing damage.

Summon Silberne Bogensperling (3 Reiryoku). The Quincy gains the following until it ends this effect as a bonus action or it falls unconscious:

Silberne Bogensperling. Ranged Weapon Attack: +13 to hit, range 150/600 ft., one target. Hit: 20 (1d10 + 15) piercing damage.

Summon Heilig Bogen (5 Reiryoku). The Quincy gains one of the following until it dematerializes it as a bonus action or it falls unconscious (each Quincy only has one option available to it):

Handbow. Ranged Weapon Attack: +13 to hit, range 80/320 ft., one target. Hit: 18 (1d6 + 15) piercing damage. This weapon can be used in two-weapon fighting.
Greatbow. Ranged Weapon Attack: +13 to hit, range 300/1200 ft., one target. Hit: 22 (2d6 + 15) piercing damage. This has the stabilizing property.
Saber. Melee Weapon Attack: +11 to hit, reach 5 ft., one target. Hit: 18 (1d6 + 15) slashing damage, or 29 (1d8 + 25) slashing damage if used in two hands.
Dagger. Melee or Ranged Weapon Attack: +11 to hit, reach 5 ft. or range 80/320 ft., one target. Hit: 27 (1d4 + 25) piercing damage.

BONUS ACTIONS

Schrift. The Quincy gains the benefit of a Schrift. The Quincy may end their Schrift as a bonus action, and it automatically does so when it falls unconscious.


The Sternritter are the elite warriors, akin to shinigami captains, of the Wandenreich, the imperial army of the Quincy King. Each Sternritter is personally chosen by the Quincy King and given the gift of his blood and a Schrift carved into their soul. Elite Sternritters are given the opportunity to serve directly under the Quincy King as part of his personal guard, the Schutzstaffel.


Quincy Archetypes[edit]

Each Quincy is unique, though most tend to fall into a handful of classifications:

Gemischt Sternritter
Blut Arterie (1 Reiryoku). At will, the Quincy gains a +12bonus to its damage rolls until the beginning of its next turn.
Blut Vene (1 Reiryoku). At will, any damage the Quincy takes is decreases by 12 until the beginning of its next turn.
Blut Anhaben (5 Reiryoku). As an action, or as a bonus action for 5 additional Reiryoku, while Blut Artere or Blut Vene is active, any creatures of the Quincy's choice within a 30 ft. radius of the Quincy also gain the Blut's effects until the Blut ends.
Fliegende Rutsche (1 Reiryoku). At will while the Quincy's Reiatsu is released, it can use its walking speed to move in any direction including straight up until its Reiatsu is not released or it ends this effect at will.
Zweiter Schritt (3 Reiryoku). At will when the Quincy makes a bonus action, it regains its bonus action that turn.
Advanced Blitzrutsche (1 Reiryoku). At will when the Quincy makes a melee weapon attack against a creature, the attack gains advantage, but deals half as much damage on a hit. If a creature is reduced to 0 hit points by this attack, the target is stable.
Kissenrückgabe (1 Reiryoku). At will when the Quincy knocks a creature prone, it positions its weapon over the creature. If they attempt to act or move in any way before the end of their next turn while they are within the Quincy's reach, the Quincy may automatically deal its melee weapon's damage to them once.


Echt Sternritter
Blitzrutsche (1 Reiryoku). As an action, the Quincy gains a +15 ft. bonus to its walking speed, and a +6 bonus to its AC, Strength and Dexterity saving throws, and melee attack and damage rolls until the end of its turn.
Fliegende Rutsche (1 Reiryoku). At will while the Quincy's Reiatsu is released, it can use its walking speed to move in any direction including straight up until its Reiatsu is not released or it ends this effect at will.
Qualkreis (3 Reiryoku). As an action for 3 Reiryoku, the Quincy creates a Medium Qualkreis anywhere within 5 ft. of it. When it makes an attack with its bogensperling, silberne bogensperling, or ranged heilig bogen, it may spend 1 Reiryoku to cause the attack to come from a Qualkreis instead of itself.
Klavier (3 Reiryoku). As a bonus action, the Quincy makes 3 attacks with its bogensperling, silberne bogensperling, or heilig bogen, or 6 attacks if the weapon has the light property.
Zweiter Schritt (3 Reiryoku). At will when the Quincy makes a bonus action, it regains its bonus action that turn.
Advanced Blitzrutsche (5 Reiryoku). As a reaction when the Quincy would take damage, it moves up to 15 feet. If the Quincy is no longer within the targeted area at the end of this movement, it takes no damage from the effect.
Persimmon (2 Reiryoku). As a reaction when a creature within 5 ft. of the Quincy misses it with a melee attack, it makes a melee attack against the attacker.


Ginto Sternritter
Ginto (5 Reiryoku). The Quincy creates one ginto. A creature may consume a dose of ginto as a bonus action, regaining 5 Reiryoku. Each dose of ginto loses its power and evaporates into ambient Reishi after 48 hours.
Heizen (4 Ginto). The Quincy chooses one point within 30 feet. Each creature in a 10 ft. wide, 30 ft. tall cube centered on the point must make a DC 19 Constitution saving throw. On a failure, a creature takes 52 (2d6 + 45) bludgeoning damage. On a success, a creature takes half as much damage.
Wolke (1 Ginto). As a reaction when the Quincy would take damage, the damage is decreased by 25.
Gritz (1 Ginto). As an action, the Quincy creates a 10 ft. radius, 30 ft. tall shield centered on a point within 30 ft. of it. This shield reduces any damage it takes by 12 and has 90 hit points. This shield lasts for 1 minute with concentration.
Imperfect Fliegende Rutsche (2 Reiryoku). As a bonus action, the Quincy can walk in any direction, including straight up, and can stand without solid ground beneath it while concentrating for up to 1 minute. If the Quincy is knocked prone while this feature is active, it begins falling and may make a DC 15 Dexterity saving throw as a reaction to stop falling.
Zweiter Schritt (3 Reiryoku). At will when the Quincy makes a bonus action, it regains its bonus action that turn.
Eisenpalme (1 Reiryoku). At will when the Quincy makes an unarmed strike, the attack gains a +1 bonus to its critical threshold. On a critical hit with an unarmed strike under the effects of this feature, the target falls prone.
Donnerkönig (3 Reiryoku). At will when the Quincy makes an unarmed strike, the attack targets every creature in a radius of you equal to twice the attack's reach.
Letzt Stil Sternritter
Puppenanzug. As a full turn action for 3 Reiryoku, which can be taken while the Quincy is incapacitated but not petrified or unconscious, it ignores the incapacitated condition, as well as the effects of any damaged body parts, not including head injuries, until it loses concentration.
Letzt Stil. As an action, the Quincy's Reiryoku maximum increases by 12, it regains 8 Reiryoku at the end of each of its turns, and it gains a flying speed equal to its walking speed and a Vollstandig effect for 1 minute or until a critical hit is scored against it. When Letzt Stil ends, the Quincy can not regain Reiryoku until it succeeds a DC 30 Wisdom saving throw as a reaction to taking damage from a critical hit.
Sklaverei As a bonus action while Vollstandig is active, the Quincy regains 3 Reiryoku.
Kirchenlied (10 Reiryoku). As an action, the Quincy sheds dim light for 30 feet until it loses concentration. This concentration ends if the Quincy moves more than 5 feet or doesn't take Sankt Zwinger on each of its turns.
Sankt Zwinger. As a full turn action while Kirchenlied is active, any creatures within Kirchenlied's light must make a DC 20 Wisdom saving throw. On a failure, they take 28 (1d6 + 25) force damage. On a success, they take half as much damage.
Imperfect Fliegende Rutsche (2 Reiryoku). As a bonus action, the Quincy can walk in any direction, including straight up, and can stand without solid ground beneath it while concentrating for up to 1 minute. If the Quincy is knocked prone while this feature is active, it begins falling and may make a DC 15 Dexterity saving throw as a reaction to stop falling.

Hyper-Reactive (5 Reiryoku). At will when the Quincy makes a reaction, it regains its reaction.
