You touch a willing creature, and an electrical aura surrounds the target until the spell ends. When the creature is attacked by a melee weapon, the attacking creature must make a Constitution saving throw or take 1d8 lightning damage.
The spell ends if the target changes its current armor (if armored), dons armor (if unarmored), or if you dismiss the spell as an action.
At Higher Levels. This spell's damage increases by 1d8 when you reach 5th level (2d8), 11th level (3d8), and 17th level (4d8).
