You invoke the powers of twilight to create a small cosmic bubble.
Make a Ranged Spell Attack against a creature. On a hit, they take 3d8 psychic damage and must make a Constitution saving throw. On a failure, their movement speed is halved until the end of their next turn as they begin to get drowsy. On a successful save, the creature doesn't become drowsy.
Then immediately following the end of their next turn, the creature is put in a stasis-like sleep until the end of a minute or until they successfully pass another Constitution saving throw at the start of each of their turns. While sleeping, they are considered stunned, and if any creature deals damage to them while asleep from this spell, they take an additional 3d8 psychic damage and convert the triggering damage to force instead of its normal type. The triggering damage will also end this spell, giving them a rude awakening.
At Higher Levels. When you cast this spell using a spell slot of 4th level or higher, increase the damage of this spell by 1d8 for every tier above 1st.
