You raise the weapon used in the casting upward, filling it with divine energy for the duration. While the spell is active, the weapon glows with bright light in a 10-foot radius and dim light for an additional 10 feet. The next time you hit a creature with a melee weapon attack during this spell's duration, the attack deals an extra 2d6 radiant damage, and the spell ends.
Alternatively, as an action, you can make a ranged spell attack to launch the divine energy at a distance from your weapon, up to a range of 60 feet. On a hit, the target takes 2d12 radiant damage. Hit or miss, the spell then ends.
At Higher Levels. When you cast this spell using a spell slot of 2nd level or higher, and one more damage die for each level above 1st.
