Sinister Manipulation (5e Spell)
From D&D Wiki
1st-level Enchantment | |
Casting time: | 1 action |
---|---|
Range: | 30 feet |
Components: | V, S, M (the severed left hand of a doll) |
Duration: | Concentration, up to 1 minute |
One creature of your choice that you can see within range must succeed on a Wisdom saving throw or lose control of their left arm. For the duration, the target cannot perform actions that require the use two hands, or the use of their left arm.
Additionally, if the target was holding an item in each hand when they became affected by this spell, they can choose which item they want to retain control of. For example, a creature wielding a shortsword and bearing a shield could decide to retain control over their weapon, thereby losing the +2 bonus to AC from their shield.
At the beginning of an affected creature's turn, you can use your reaction to cause the target's left arm to animate and perform an action. This action must be one that could be accomplished with only one arm, and uses the affected creature's ability scores and proficiencies wherever necessary.
At the end of each of its turns, the target can make another Wisdom saving throw. On a success, the spell ends.
Creatures that lack a left arm or are immune to being charmed aren't affected by this spell.
At Higher Levels. When you cast this spell using a spell slot of 2nd level or higher, you can target one additional creature for each slot level above 1st. The creatures must be within 30 feet of each other when you target them.
