A bubble of sticky acid appears in your hand, which you throw at a creature that you can see within range. The target must make a Dexterity saving throw. While the creature is covered in acid, it takes 1d8 acid damage at the end of each of its turns and has a -1 penalty to attack rolls and to AC. A creature covered in acid can use its action to scrape or wash the acid off, ending the spell.

When you cast this spell using a spell slot of 5th level or higher, the penalty increases to -2. When you use a spell slot of 7th level or higher, the penalty increases to -3.
