Musket, Carbine | +2 | 1d8 | 18/36 | 40 gp | 5 lb | Firearm | Load Two Minor, Small, Powder Crit |
This is a shorter barreled Musket. It has a reduced range, but is easier for small races to handle.
- Ammunition
The carbine musket uses gunpowder and ball.
- Load Two Minor
It takes a two minor action to reload a carbine musket: one to load the powder and one to load the ball. The Speed Loader feat reduces the reload time to one minor action.
- Small
A small character can use the carbine musket in the same way a medium character can.
- Powder Crit
The arquebus deals more damage when you score a critical hit with it, though not as much as a High Crit weapon. It deals an extra 1 damage at 1st–10th levels, an extra 2 damage at 11th–20th levels, and an extra 3 damage at 21st–30th levels. This extra damage is in addition to any critical damage the weapon supplies if it is a magic weapon.
